I was sitting with my best friend at MD Anderson Cancer Hospital last week- he has tongue cancer. I learned from one of the top oncologists in the country that the best thing to brush your teeth with is baking soda (Arm & Hammer) because it corrects the ph balance in your saliva and that is typically where cavities, infections etc come from. It helps with making your saliva correct- not thick and not too thin. Another thing I learned about baking soda is too take a spray bottle with water and baking soda and put it in your shower to spray under your arms as well as for women to spray in other regions because that too not only fully helps get rid of odor but corrects the pH balance in your system. 😊

I worked in maxillofacial surgery for many years…ine thing about dental implants…if you dont take meticulous care of your new implants/teeth, by diligent brushing, flossing or use of waterpic , you can loose implanted teeth, just like you lost your original teeth… because gingivitis will cause you to have bone loss as it progresses…and the implanted teeth will get loose just like real teeth and they last. So since you are being blessed with this gift..please take care of it…and now is the timebto invest in your kids teeth and educate then on how to to properly take care of their teeth and they can possibly have their original adult teeth all their life.

I can tell you that you are going to feel like a princess when you have your procedures done. There is nothing to be afraid of as you are in excellent hands with these professionals. I waited years before I could afford to have my teeth all done correctly and felt proud of my smile. No one but myself ever mentioned anything as they felt my teeth were fine, but I was always self-conscious about them. I was fifty-nine and went to my dentist of years and asked him to make my smile beautiful so I can have pictures at my daughter's wedding with a smile showing my real smile and attractive teeth.......After the wedding photos were done, I sent a photo of my daughter (the bride and myself ) both with big smiles showing how proud I was of the work he had done to make me feel proud at last. I grew up in a family with many siblings and we took care of our teeth normally but never really had much dental care. Gods blessings to you and if I was near I would come hold your hand if you needed me too. There is nothing to be afraid of you will be in the best hands in the world and what a team. God bless! I'm really glad you did this q & a, Merina. So many people simply don't know the ins and outs of proper dental hygiene and end up losing teeth and in great pain. That was very thoughtful and kind. I'm getting a similar procedure as you, but just the upper arch prosthetic. I've had chronic periodontal issues aeround certain teeth that created problems throughout my life. And you can't even tell by looking at me because it's only certain teeth towards the back. But it's awful and i can't wait to get the implant prosthesis. ❤

Your dentist is saying all the right things... he's honest and has a lot of experience. I like that he doesn't trust the all on 4 process and that he requires additional implant sites in case one or more of the implants don't osseointegrate (that just means your body rejects the implant). He seems like a perfect dentist to get your work done with! I'm curious his name and which lab he uses. This is going to be a journey, but bringing back your smile is absolutely priceless! ❤️
I had full mouth implants in April. After they pull your teeth, make sure you don't lay flat to sleep for a few days. It will keep down the bruising. It's the best thing I have done. I'm 62.
Sodium Lauryl sulfate, is used in soap making also, and in a lot of shampoos, it can make your hair fall out. I did not know it was in tooth paste too. good to know. also, I am so excited for you Marina!

Wow! the dental story is unbelievable. The advices are really good, I am 63 years old and I still have all my teeth even my wisdom teeth , I flossed and clean my teeth minimum twice a day without exception. There is nothing to fear when you got GOD on your side.

I'm really glad you did this q & a, Merina. So many people simply don't know the ins and outs of proper dental hygiene and end up losing teeth and in great pain. That was very thoughtful and kind. I'm getting a similar procedure as you, but just the upper arch prosthetic. I've had chronic periodontal issues aeround certain teeth that created problems throughout my life. And you can't even tell by looking at me because it's only certain teeth towards the back. But it's awful and i can't wait to get the implant prosthesis. ❤

I just want to leave feedback about the color you choose. Most people say don’t choose bright white but I’m here to tell you, if you like it, go for it! You will not be disappointed. Your dentist is saying all the right things... he's honest and has a lot of experience. I like that he doesn't trust the all on 4 process and that he requires additional implant sites in case one or more of the implants don't osseointegrate (that just means your body rejects the implant). He seems like a perfect dentist to get your work done with! I'm curious his name and which lab he uses. This is going to be a journey, but bringing back your smile is absolutely priceless! ❤️

I had full mouth implants in April. After they pull your teeth, make sure you don't lay flat to sleep for a few days. It will keep down the bruising. It's the best thing I have done. I'm 62.

Sodium Lauryl sulfate, is used in soap making also, and in a lot of shampoos, it can make your hair fall out. I did not know it was in tooth paste too. good to know. also, I am so excited for you Marina!
