i've been tilted for 2 months now, I FEEL your pain brother. Keep pushing, it happens to the greatest and most experienced. i LOOOOVE your content Lex, keep the vids coming!!
Great post as usual bro! In your first hand when the guy had a 4-6 off for a straight. Why would he call your all in if he didn't know he had a straight? I am sure he knew he had a straight but was worried about you having higher straight. Why did he slam the table? Sometimes people do that when they find out their hand wasn't as bad as they thought, and slamming the table is a sign of relief.
I get slow rolled everyday online. I look at it as a compliment bc I see myself as 1 of the best at my stakes. I NEVER look into it because it could be a million reasons why someone is AFK etc…I even have ppl slow roll me & it eliminates me from the tournament lol…like okay? I’m out..there’s no reason to tilt some1 that’s out of the game. THE ONLY reason to EVER slowroll some1…is in like a massive MTT like the WSOP Main where you are nearing the FT & you have a chance to tilt the Chip Leader…it’s perfectly fair & fine. Poker uses ZERO emotion..so if an emotion might get to someone, use that to your advantage. Also, not unless I have the absolute nuts, If some1 takes forever to call, I never assume I win, never get your hopes up until both cards are revealed. Hope that helps at least 1 person. GL at the tbls gals & guys!
seems like a slow roll to me man. He obviously knew he had a straight, there's nothing else he can have with 4,6. After staring at the board for so long he knows its not paired, so your set of 10s cant be a full house. I doubt he would make this mistake especially after being in the tank for so long.
I appreciate that you show the challenges along with the triumphs. Great content, keep it coming, thanks! The guy was not a pro, so I hope he wasn't slow rolling, but it does get irritating.
yup,,,,just hang in there,,,i have been playing for 40 years,,,,You just have to stick with it, you will be just find in the long run. We all have losing streaks, do not worry about that. I was getting sucked out so many times, then after awhile i started to win most of my races. I also started to suck out on people, it is fine in the long road.
Hey Lex, I think on the first hand a smaller bet of like a $1,000 would be best because you would get called by two pair or a lower set and if he has a straight or flush he will probably raise which then you can think of folding. Going all in will only get called if you're beat. What do you think?,
Well check back is the best play in that scenario as there were too many hands villein can have that he might have checked with like low straight, small flush. so going for a thin value ended up costing him the full session. That play had lead to him making another mistake by calling again a big river bet from the Villan so again he thought this guy is bluffing him off and never put him on flush. It is easy to now but I do understand sometimes we go with emotions and some other day it could have been easily someone bluffing.
@@nsomasu I just think since he raised pre-flop and didn't 4 bet our 3 bet, I would put him on High cards and so when the king comes out, I would think my set is good against his pair of kings or possibly two pair K9 suited, so I would be tempted to go for value on the river, but I think a check back makes sense for all the reasons you gave.
Was down there and played 5/10/25. Wasn’t impressed at all. Had multiple players on my table speaking non English while in hand. I was furious , called floor on it , but they were regs and I’m not. Floor did nothing. Left a bad taste. But still love the videos Lex. Keep ‘em rolling bro !
Another banger of a vlog Lex, cheers. It's awesome seeing you get crushed. He shoved that straight right up your arse and then the flush hand was amazing too ! Can't wait for the next one !
It seems like you have developed a pattern lately. You seem to always pay off when you put yourself in bad spots, mostly by not giving your opponent any credit for a hand. These pots are killing you and your bottom line. Pick better spots, and try using that fold button once in a while. GL
If you can't trust your reads, then get up from the table for good. Sometimes you'll be wrong. Sometimes you'll be right. The only problem is he had little information on that player. This player had previously led on a draw, so it isn't unreasonable to put him on some kind of pair plus nut flush draw.
Lex we have got a problem. I didn't get my Lex O poker last week. Glad to see you back in the saddle. You remind me I use to live in Plantation. I gratitude from the Plantation High school there in Broward County. Wondering if you are anywhere close to it living in Fort Lauderdale. I use to hang out in Davie and Cooper city. Brings back a lot of memories with the great weather down in the sunshine state. Keep up the videos coming for sure always enjoy your playing and comments about your favorite hands.
Wait a second. He opened 6-4 off and he called a three bet with it? He then flops open ended with the low end of the straight and leads turn!? Jesus Christ! Getting slow rolled sucks but man this is a good game!
Lex is often leveling himself on these river cards. Not all people think GTO or exploitive and are just having fun, hoping to win a little money. You see all kinds of holdings with these players and they have deep pockets, not playing for a living. 10-10 is a check or fold on that river 10.
Lex...use your bad calls/all-in hands to your advantage. They too know of them and it will make them think your hand is bad when your hand is a winning hand. Think as they think about your hands 👍👍💡
My first time playing 5/10 at Kings Lounge during WSOP I accidentally slow rolled a pro for over a 6k pot. I had 46H pre-flop, he was aggressive and raised by big blind. I defended. Flop is 369, I didnt pay attention to suits at the time. I check, he bets big I put him on two overs, I call. Turn 2, he bets big puts me all in, I call. River a Q. He shows 45 for a turned straight. I was dam. thought my 6 was good, almost mucked it but showed him a s a joke that we were both playing low cards, when I turned I noticed both my cards were hearts and the 392 where all hearts. So I won. :) Everyone on the table realized I got double lucky on that hand. So it happens specially to us recreational players.
i was getting sucked out all the time in big tournaments, i was getting so frustrated. Last year it turned around, i won most of my races, and was not sucked out on that much. I cashed in 3 straignt WSOP events, missed final table by 1 hand. I went overseas and placed 10th in pokerstars event, missing final table again by 1 hand. Just be patient
The only thing thing really makes sense on that slow roll is that he thought you had a boat initially and then realized the straight was good. Or is was a really weird slow roll....
@xavierharding8938 so yesterday I reraised with jj. Dude pushed all in for 300 with aj. I'm thinking I'm ahead vs random ace. Of course he spikes. I'm starting to think that maybe Ole boy might ve made the right fold with qqs
@@geraldhenderson8474 With the action you're not wrong. It screams strength but it was also such a massive raise compared to the pot. That's where i'd really have to take my time. AA and KK are a possibility but AK is too. I guess since he was already getting torched he didn't want to risk it on a flip. I don't blame him for folding.
@xavierharding8938 he raised 35 early I came back 120. He shoves. At the time I had 700+ behind. If I fold and walk away I lock in a win. Bought in for 300. But my read was bad ace. He had aj.

@@sarahdeshay1394don’t think so. It’d be pretty easy to realize that Jack would be the top end of the stright. A ten and Jack look way too differnet. I think he realized he had set of tens but somehow thought it was a boat (my best guess) makes sense as to why he seemed mad, he probably say the set and with the board all connected, he might thought it was paired too or something.
First guy definitely slow rolled. He called $2k. Now if he jammed, and you called, his reaction would make sense. But dude called you off with a bluff? Naw. He 100% slowrolled. Unless he thought the board was paired initially. But I highly doubt that.
May be he thought you have a higher straight only to see you have set. The way you threw the card, he might have felt you have the higher straight. I don't think he puts you on set here, as he was worried about loosing to any Jacks, or any flush or Q,J. I think it was a bad play by you, as there was one card to the straight and you didn't consider him having one pair and straight draw with 6, so there were too many hands he could have that he might have checked with. See he didn't call you right away because he really thought he was beat. There was a chance he might have folded that hand as well. You should have simply check back. Sometimes going for a value in that connected board can cost you more. The better play was to check back.
the slow roll wasnt a slow roll, guy was herocalling with the worst hand he could… we was probably thinking thats an nuts or complete bluff spot… insane that you showed up woth set of tens… pot was 1.7k and you said you go for „thin“ value - but pushed him allin for an overbet… man… if you now players the call there with less than a straight please invite me to this game 😅😉 that hand was a complete punt on the river… (to be fair, if he folds the 6 there you did a great job - but you didnt bet to make him fold… xou thought 2 pair would call - sick) thanks for the vlog… I really like your content because its entertaining…
TT for the line of the hand and that big bet on the river is 100% fold my friend he will never have a bluff, i dont like to fold sets but in boards like this you must do and you will save money in the long run
When you had pocket queens, and there’s a raise, and a re-raise in front of you, if it were me, I would have just called and then if the original razor went all in, I would probably fold depending on what the middle player action was. At least that way, you’re likely to be able to at least see a flop if the original raiser just called.
Tough plays, Lex. First one I think I'd fold, 2nd (flopped flush), would've probably called, putting him on the missed flush A with pair maybe. We all hate when the river brings such a great card that makes it so much harder to fold. Take care, and thanks for the videos!
i think it was an honest mistake by the guy. when you flipped the two tens over, he was knee jerk reacting thinking you made either a higher straight with 10s or he might have thought it was jack/10. it took him a second to realize u didn't have straight.
Yeah that's what I was thinking or maybe he even thought he got beat by a boat (even though the board wasn't paired). You showing your cards w confidence made him assume his bottom end straight was no good
First Hand- I thought the guy folded when he threw his cards into the muck and then realized he had a 6 when he folded. I would of called the floor.....
4:14 it is a clear slowroll bro. If he has 64o, he calls you with nothing but a straight. Despite he believed you had full house, it is an awfull slowroll from his part😂
Bro I think I’ve said this before but I’d your going on tilt after ONE HAND and it’s affecting your play in big spots then you really need to work on tilt management somehow.
I don't understand how you said the opponent is a tight aggressive player, and that you have only ever seen him play AA's yet you said if he goes all in I'm just going to call with AKo, why would you call that all in with that specific hand yet folded QQ's in an all in spot whihc is a made hand, we're the stack sizes different?
Oof, that 10 of spades was the worst card in the deck. Everything from the turn bet got there. Flush, spades... why go all in. What was going to call you? That was a check situation.
I think the slow roll was intentional. If he had 6-4, what was he calling an all in with? It’s not like he had K6 and thought he just had top pair or something
He slammed em down to put it in your face that he had the straight 🤣 no one playing those stakes doesn’t know they have a straight if they don’t their just incompetent or absolutely slow rolling you and just doesn’t wanna get called out for it
Clearly a slow roll, he called with a bad straight, probably was not anticipating winning the pot as many reasonable hands beat him. Always hard to know if your non-nutted good hands like “sets” are good or not, best to try to think about what hands that they might have that they would bluff with and if there aren’t many, strongly consider folding!

Always hard to know if your non-nutted good hands like “sets” are good or not, best to try to think about what hands that they might have that they would bluff with and if there aren’t many, strongly consider folding!
I clearly slow rolled your mom.
That wasn't value town that was straight to pound town LOL hope you have better luck next time bro
Should have called with those queens
