those buoy things are for surf lifesaving event, herring are not bad eating but good for mulloway bait. If you want a tailor first light is best, just after the sun rises or just after dark. Also try retrieving either faster or slower until you start getting hits...good luck fishing in West Oz.
Thanks for the advise, yes I was there for the aussies surf event and realised it was a IRB entry point and sadly i only got the chance to fish in the morning a bit after dusk and only did not have any light gear because we were planning on catching some big tailor of salmon and and dident bother bringing any other gear due to us flying over but we did catch some tailor eventually but sadly not on video though. Yes @andy k is right it was at Scarborough in the morning. For the herring try and look for there bait balls and use small metals. Thanks for watching!
