Why would you only recommend this to you non-bag-nerd friends? What disqualifies it as a recommendation to you bag-nerd friends? Genuine question, is there something wrong with this bag in terms of features that bag nerds would want? I‘m wondering because I‘m thinking about getting this as an EDC bag because sometimes, my Aer Travel Pack 3 Small X-Pac is just a bit too big just for carrying a laptop, tablet, (sometimes Steamdeck) and a charger, the only thing I‘m debating with myself over is if I‘d have preferred a separate laptop compartment, other than that, the bag looks great, hence why I was surprised you said you‘d recommend this to your non-bag-nerd friends, because I definitely consider myself a bag nerd lol. Is there anything I overlooked with this bag that would piss my inner bag nerd off? Great review btw!

But a few observations, some were mentioned by you: - Inner flap has wasted space at the bottom - Needs a dedicated laptop pocket - laptop shouldn't be part of the main compartment - Bottle pocket zipper is often confused with main compartment zippers - all 3 can be positioned next to each other - Shoulder straps are too spongy (IMHO) - More padding for false bottom - Seems shallow for it's listed capacity
All make sense. I found it to be the kind of bag I had to think about a bit more than usual when packing. Once I had a routine it was great but, not something I often need to think about. Sounds like you'd be really into a Max-mini. -JT
@@alanrappeport7080 imo, it's about 33% smaller than the AB Max. Mainly because I use the AB Max for travel and it's usually packed up pretty bulky. This Daily Plus doesn't get that big because it doesn't have the capacity. It's my EDC bag at this time though - I think it'll be very popular for most people
I really like this bag, the materials, the weather resistance, the layout, the capability, and the design of the exterior of the bag. But I am not a fan of the laptops false bottom, it's the only big miss on this bag imho.

Good to see you JT !!! I also picked up the AB Daily Plus and I'm still evaluating it. I'm too used to my AB Max , and it's a really good travel bag.
I like the Plus and the Max. Definitely different vibes though. Not sure which I prefer! What are you digging about the Plus? Concerns?
