69 Mach 1. Black Jade with the gold rocker stripes. 390 4 barrel. The car my step dad had when he married my mom when I 10 years old in 1971. He was a great guy with a killer car. He was a helluva mechanic and the reason I'm a Ford guy to this day!
The one I own, a yellow 1973 Mach 1 Mustang 351C. I was 16 when it was new, and I wanted one so bad. Fast forward to over three years ago, I retired, and was able to make my teenage dream come true. It is something my wife and I can enjoy together, and we do meet new friends. We are members of the car club in Kinston, NC, and the first weekend in May, we put on a great car show with the BBQ Festival on the Neuse. And all our proceeds go to our local Ronald McDonald house in Greenville, NC. I've enjoyed tinkering on a vehicle I know something about, and continue to try to make it better. Thanks Evan for all the great videos you bring us, looking forward to more!
My Grandpa had a new 1971 Mach 1, 351C lime green I inherited after his passing for my girlfriend. Back in the day, he would drive to Dearborn from Dayton, Ohio and buy his Fords and drive back to Dayton. I personally prefer the 69 or 70 Mach 1. Thanks for sharing Evan on this monumental Mustang day! Great video sir!!! Cheers from Motown/Dearborn.
Good memories. I purchased a 1983 Mustang GT brand new for $ 9,800.00. I paid 2k down and financed 7,800 for 3 years. I was 18 years old and my insurance cost was tough. It was Dark Red with the black striped hood and red vinyl interior. It was the Fall of 83 so I had the 5-speed manual /5.0 and the wheels with the little square holes and Michelins, not the metric ones. I owned it 9 years and my wife drove it 8 of them. Both our kids came home from hospital in that car. Then in 1992 I purchased a 1991 GT Mustang program car with 8,000 miles on it for 13k. It was Strawberry and grey 5.0/AOD. Beautiful car. For a while I had two Mustangs under my carport! Nowadays I wish I could have hung on to those cars. Sorry for the rambling,,just triggered a lot of good memories👍
Evan I appreciate your unique insight and professional presentation of Ford vehicles and racing components for the ultimate level of Ford performance. I’ve owned my 1970 Mach 1 for 41 years and it still retains many of the features listed in the Marti Report. It’s Grabber Blue with the original Shaker Scoop Ram Air and dealer installed Rear Window Louvers. The original “M” code Cleveland, FMX transmission and standard differential have been replaced. It currently has an extensively modified Cleveland, C4 transmission and a Strange Pro Iron Detroit Locker with 4.11 gears and 35 spline axles. Considering the cost of new Mustangs, I think my current Mach 1 will do just fine 🏁.
1971 Mach 1. The only thing I don't like about the 2021 Mach 1 I wish Ford put the cross plane 5.2 in it. A detuned 5.2XS making somewhere between 530 - 550 horsepower would have been special.
Great anthology of Mustangs. My choice is the '71 yellow Mach 1. Many amazing cars here especially the fastbacks at 17:18. Some very nice graphics too like the Darth Vader car or the coyote cooking the roadrunner. Happy 60 years...
The body style of the 1965-1966 Mustang should’ve been untouched for at least 20yrs. The fox body was inspired by a door wedge. A complete departure of Lee Iacocca’s Mustang. FOMOCO realized that Americans and enthusiasts from different countries were paying more $$$$$ for used 1965-1970 Mustangs since 1974. Even so, I’m sure these Mustangs will fetch more $$$$ over today’s Mustang. 🤔
Guys, you should sit down and arrange your videos into playlists, it would really help your channel. People Like me!) could watch a whole series easily, such as the Cyclone/Godzilla videos. With playlists, this is easy and you will get a lot more views.
Love this channel ! 71-72 Mach 1 and 71 Boss 351 are my favorites...kind of weird seeing chrome front bumper on a Mach 1 am guessing was difficult to find urethane replacement as they are hard to find in good condition
A lot of beautiful Mustangs! I love that 71 Mach 1!!

Give me a 70 Mach 1, with 428 CJ!
agreed!
My fiance and I recently inherited a 69 Mach 1 in Aztec Aqua that we will be making into a Street/strip. Should be a fun project.
Buy everything in the Detroit Speed catalog so you can drive the car all the time…and really enjoy it.

Daniel, it sounds like a great car with a lot of history. Thanks for the comment and for watching our channel. Love to check it out one day.
I say we don't acknowledge the 2024s until they're tunable.
I still want a clean New Edge Mach 1 in white, and a stick!!!
I would like our 1969 again.
great video!
Never cared for the after '70 Mustang. However, that '71 Mach 1 "Eleanor". Would be an exception.

That Rebel Alliance Mach 1 is ff'in sweet.
69 428CJ all the way
A '71 Mach 1 with the Boss 351 and 4 speed manual.
I like your witty comments "Maybe their next purchase is a dark horse" 😉😂

Thanks for the comment, I'll work on that. Great idea.
Drinking outta plastic cups sucks
I could have stayed at the bar and had glass, but the video wouldn’t be that great.
