Volvo was lighter and Scania was really overloaded you can see the heap of mineral on the trailer . Look at the tyres some of them don't have pressure some will blast anytime soon. Also didn't the trucks were doing their duty well every day? Not fair blaming the Scania

Its not about the power, its about the transmission when it changes gears it goes back ward or it stop slowly because its overloaded, a paddle shifter or a automatic transmission would good for these trucks in these conditions.

Third world driving and transport management - you can have the best kit in the world (Scania/Volvo) ..but unless you know how to use it and know how to get the best from it then it's a dead loss. These drivers don't know how to handle these trucks at all - and are going to cause serious damage to them in the long run. Not only that - the loading of these trailers is crazy - there's probably 100 tonnes in each trailer with the whole combination weighing in the region of 250 Tonne..no wonder they're struggling - and with just 580 hp - it's simply physics - just not enough to keep the whole rig going on steep grades. Really this is territory for specialized ultra heavy haulage rigs with industrial engines of 20+litres capacity and 1000hp, not off the shelf highway trucks. Stupidity at its best..everything has its limits - the trick is in knowing when those limits have been reached. That has yet to be understood here..
Typical Indonesian mindset. Squeeze out every penny from their investment. And what's worst is that they still using shitty old Hino/Fuso trucks and still struggle carrying a shorten container (probably 10 ton ish) doing 5-8 grade and then causing traffic jam and potential hazard. And yes, stupidity at best. I bet these truck drivers doesn't even go through proper trainings with proper driving technique.
