Hello peanut gallery! Now that I want to make quilt tops, I'm going to come up with a series for BIG quilt blocks so I can knock out the quilt top quickly! I hope to make a quilt top using this block! ----- I am not using quilt software for the quilt board. It's an ancient version of Printmaster which no longer exists. It's very time consuming as I have to come up with all the designs myself and create them all by hand. It is not computer generated. I do not recommend! lol ----- Visit me on Patreon where I'm UNcensored!!! www.patreon.com/darlenemichaud ----- Check out my ASMR channel!!! darlenemichaud.com/asmr ----- Join my Peanut Gallery facebook group! facebook.com/groups/514101078926416/
This has to be one of my favorite quilts of yours. I will be making 3 of these. One for my granddaughter and 2 others for my great nieces. When I find some cool boy fabric, my great nephew will get one. I have been involved in the sewing industry since I was 17. I am now 63. I know all about fabric technology, the "correct" ways to do this and that, all the must have notions, books,, patterns and popular designers. Yet, I feel most at home here. Thank you.
I did like the green better next to it however I absolutely love everything you do. I love the way you explain things it really helps me. I have anxiety so bad and I feel like when I watch your videos I am able to calm myself and as I have said before I don't have a sewing machine yet so I sew by hand and I feel like when you show that things do not always have to be perfect yet your things always turn out beautiful it really helps so much. Please keep being your wonderful self and making these great videos.
I am pleased you put the brown next to the flower block - it really makes it pop, and the green next to the small pink block echoes the main colours of the flower block. Very clever, and it looks wonderful when you have multiplied it to look like a full size quilt. Thank you
At time 11:09, it looks like the brown is one rectangle with two floral squares over it and tilted. Really cool! Do Love, Darlene! I have your beautiful fabrics from the Frenzy and am going to get busy cutting those to have all the pieces ready for the weekend - so I can PLAY PLAY PLAY! I am learning soooooooooo much. You are an awesome teacher. Thank you!
This one made especially good designs on the quilt board!!! Thank you for taking the time to put the images together for us. I’m a very visual learner and it helps me see the bigger picture. Do love the wonky!
Love the "lazy tacky" mention in the past several videos lol. Obviously whatever you're doing works and I love your videos! You give me lots of inspiration 💜
thank you again for another "lazy and tacky lesson". I have been wanting a new idea to make a STEELERS quilt and you just showed me. Thank you, and thank you for being "lazy and tacky" cause I am too. 😁
Darlene! I love it. I am going to make something with that block. I love the brown against center, looks like a wonky framed picture. Thanks for showing the possibilities. I love your videos. 🙃
Hi Darlene, I find the way you show how to put the blocks together fascinating. I am not a quilter but have made your quilt bag. I love your technique. It gives me the confidence to give it a try. I rarely comment but I watch each and every video. 💕. NonnaGrace
Ur amazing as usual and how creative. TFS and your time in doing this video. Always shocks the crap outta me how many different patterns there are from one block. Awesome!!!!! Barb from AZ
Lazy...and tacky. Perfect combination! Thanks for answering the quilting "software" question. It's been years since I've had a computer...I just have my cell phone...but at one time on a computer you could use a picture and "tile" it and it would do a very similar thing. Not sure that even still exists. Anyway...nice job. I like the wonky blocks too!
