      @@sewandquiltwithaprilsawtelle I really don’t see your wasting fabric. I mean ….my lord maybe 1/8 . But I like neatness to and no fringes of material ever where you have to deal with. I love 💕 it.

      The square in a square makes visual interest, while still having a method that can be done at any level of expertise. I can’t wait to try it!❤

    I Like this technique. It could also work for triangles and likely for other shapes as well.
    Once your squares are sewn in a quilt, they should be 17 inches square. (Again any size will work.) A 5 x6 layout gives you a quilt that is 85 x 102 for the price of just 30 blocks. A quick quilt indeed.
    I really like blocks in that 14-20 inch range.

      I didn’t really need to square the blocks up after as they came out great, and yes they were 17 inches square after all lol. I made my quilt top 5 across and 6 down. It came together so quickly. I will be showing it in my next video. Thank you for watching and thank you for commenting. 😊

    I would cut out the fabric behind the middle square to reduce bulk & save fabric.

    This is an interesting technique. What is the name of the fabric line you use? It is beautiful.

      Thank you! I’m sorry to say I don’t know the name of the designer. I had bought this bundle about 7 months ago off the Sew Yeah Quilting auction they have on RUclips. Thanks for watching. The quilt top video is coming out sometime today😊

    Do you open up your sewn seams after or just leave them? I was wondering about the bulk when it gets time to quilt.

    • @sewandquiltwithaprilsawtelle
      @sewandquiltwithaprilsawtelle  10 месяцев назад

      I don’t open my seams I just press both top and bottom to make really flat. Thanks for watching! 😊
