      it's not "hot sauce" it's bbq sauce which is sweet, but usually with a vinegar undertone and black cracked pepper for bite. But, not a hot sauce like tabasco or a pepper sauce at all.

      Adam Hutchison it’s certainly hot sauce to them even with a bit of spice. The Nords don’t do Spicy. So what may barely register to us, is spicy to them. Has been my experience all across the nordics. Though I do agree with you, it’s most likely BBQ sauce.

    You, my friend, are a true Texan for eating all that without a single stain! Next you should try a crawfish boil in New Orleans. They literally just put a pile of the food on your table for you to pick out of, soooo good. Also, it’s barbecue sauce, not hot sauce, regardless of the spice!

      @@takedasamurai4848 so this. The bark is different, the sauces are different....only the meat is roughly the same. Some do a more dry brisket, while others prefer a roast type. Personally I like Texas grilling with NC sauces.

    I ate at Black's the last time I visited Austin. It was heavenly. I brought my 80 year old mother and I swear I hadn't seen her eat so heartily since I was a kid.

      Born and raised in Austin. Black’s is a little outside of town. You didn’t miss anything by skipping Franklin’s if you had Black’s. Franklin learned to do his stuff from Black’s. Anyway, you crushed that shit homie! Putting the green beans on your sandwich was a little weird but whatever. Love how you loved the onions. Gotta have onions and pickles with Texas brisket!

    I use to live in Austin and now live in New York. The two things I miss about that state is Mexican food and B. The BBQ that Texas BBQ is like no other.

    Next time you’re in Texas, stop by Buc-ee’s, world’s largest gas station / convenience store, they have their own restaurant. Also some other bbq places, if you don’t want to wait at franklins, you can preorder, it’ll take less time, but you can’t eat in store. Also Luling city market bbq which is south of Austin.     One thing I love about how we pick sides and dishes that go together in the US is that you can combine pretty much any of the sides and mains, even as a sandwich, and the flavors and textures pretty much always collaborate perfectly.

      They're seasonal...a product of the State of Georgia. They are, by far, the best! If you like sweet onions, Walla Walla are good as well...but our stores in Ohio carry more Vidalia.....grown closer to home....milder soil equal sweeter taste
