  • After working at RUclips and Instagram for 8 years, I want to share how to grow a RUclips channel in 2023. Better yet, if you haven’t started on RUclips yet - this video will help you learn how to start a RUclips channel in 2023. It's not too late. I'll detail how I got over 190 million views in my first year as a creator, monetized my channel, and how you can do the same now with RUclips Shorts Monetization and RUclips updating its algorithm in 2023.
PS if you've read this far, come join the 1,500 other creators supporting each other in my Discord: / discord

Great video, you earned a subscriber!! Even though I don't consider myself a beginner anymore, I still remember how hard it was at the start. Always tough, getting only few hundred views on my channel day after day. But things got easier now and I am super grateful that I didn't give up and stayed patient all the way through. Consistency (and a little bit of famester as well) is the key.
PS. I am talking about my other channel, I don't like to promote myself.

Change that mindset. You deserve to promote yourself. Whatever it is that you do, someone out there is just waiting to stumble up on your videos. And it´s easier for them to find you, if you promote yourself. Nothing wrong with humble self promo. :)

Loved this video!! Took some notes on the key insights and some action items:
Insight 1: Create content like Corden, not Colbert.
Action item: Experiment with different formats and develop a variety of content that appeals to a wider audience, rather than sticking to monologues or interviews.
    Insight 2: Trust the process.
Action item: Be prepared for some content formats to perform better than others, and adapt your strategy accordingly. Analyze and learn from both successful and unsuccessful formats.
Insight 3: Perfect your first frame.
Action item: Focus on making the first frame of your short-form videos engaging and visually appealing to set up expectations and hook viewers.
Insight 4: Follow the three-in-one rule.
Action item: Aim to film at least three shorts in one hour to increase productivity and maximize content output.
    Insight 5: Simplify your speech.
Action item: Use clear, concise, and confident language in your videos. Utilize tools like Hemingway App to help simplify your scripts and make them more accessible to a wider audience.
Insight 6: Marry your niche while varying your format.
Action item: Stay focused on your niche and create a variety of content within that niche to maintain a consistent theme and appeal to your target audience.
Insight 7: Start now and take advantage of the current opportunities.
Action item: Begin experimenting with different content formats and platforms like RUclips Shorts, TikTok, and Instagram Reels to expand your reach and grow your audience.

I think I have seen your channel before!🤔
Your quality is there however, you may benefit from tapping into the videography and photography community!
I see you use a Sony A7iii, you can talk about "Why I'm NOT upgrading to a Sony A7Siii" or "Is the Sony A7iii worth it in 2023?".
You can also turn that around and get more content from the other side of the same topic. Something like " Can The Sony A7iii make High Quality RUclips Videos?". You will then show people your setup and how you get the shots you get. I'm almost certain you will see a boost in your subs and viewership!
You can even talk about the lack of camera shops in central Fl!
      I hope this helps!
Keep up the great work! 👍🏾

These are GEMS! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and experience with us!
I think for me the problem is nicheing down because there’s so many different people I want to reach, and don’t want to have left out, if that makes sense.
I love anime content, but I don’t want non-anime watchers to be left out. But I feel like I do pretty well at that so I just need to keep going with that. I love what you said about varying it up while still having it in the niche. That means I can do skits, music, reactions, interviews all under the same umbrella and I’m already getting excited with new ideas coming to my head!
And I love what you said about partnerships and sponsors because you made a great point that these companies would want someone who is reliable and can cater what they have to people in the similar audience.
Again, thank you so much for this video!

Coming back to this video, there's so much to take away. My main takeaway is doing unique content to stand out, which I've dabbled with but want to push even further. There are a lot of formats and subjects I could cover that could lead to views quickly, but I don't want that. I don't want to feel like a content news show to cover this week's topic and move on as my videos are mindlessly put on as background noise. When I make something, I want them to feel as passionate about it as me.
I want to make videos that stand out, unique ideas and videos that spin something interesting to make everything I do a worthwhile watch that will remain timeless, rather than a weekly episodic show with disposable intrigue. I want to make every video stand out, to take it to another level. I see RUclipsrs my size try to clone a video whenever it's successful, only to fall short. I've never wanted to do that, even if it could bring in more views in the short term.
