- Do you want to make your Weber or any other kettle grill into a top notch smoker and without spending a lot of money? Then the FlameTechGrills Smoke and Sizzle might be for you! It sells for around $70 (Use my Discount code RustyLamb and save more) which is much cheaper than the competition but you're not giving up on quality! It is made from heavy duty stainless steel! Also It not only holds the charcoal to one side of the grill but includes a Built-In drip/water pan.
For this cook I want to try the FlameTechGrills with a long cook so what's better then a pork butt for this test. I loaded it up with Jealous Devil Max Briquettes. After cooking all day I still had almost half the charcoal left. I was really impressed! This was my second cook with this setting check out the first cook here if you missed it!

I seasoned the pork butt with Second City and Windy City from Fire & Smoke Bbq Company this combination was perfect!
The Inkbird 5g WiFi thermometer worked perfectly so much better than Bluetooth you don't need to worry about getting out of range.
Finally I wrapped the pork butt when the inter temperature was around 180° F and to the wrap I added Bacon Up because animal fats are KING 👑 I pulled it when it was tender about 1 hour late and 190° F

Thanks 👍
Used your link. Just ordered mine!
Thank you I appreciate it!!!
Why the sunglasses 😮
@@inktime because the light on the camera makes me squint and I like them 🤷♂️
I just got one of these and made ribs last weekend and had a hard time regulating temperature - I kept having to readjust the vents. From looking here I made the mistake of putting the lit Charcoal on one end instead over the top. I'm going to try a shoulder next - did you wrap after a certain amount of time or was it at a temp of the pork? Thanks!
@@jeaninem7281 lighting from one end probably would be fine but I would probably light the middle. When it comes to Temperature management on a kettle Grill. Sometimes you have to go with whatever temperature it wants to run at. Also be patient between adjusting. It is normal for the temperature to fluctuate. Not a big fan of a long wrap I think I wrapped this one around 175 to 180 basically for the last hour of the cook. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching. Let me know if you have any more questions?
@RustyBBQLamb Thank you so much for responding - that is so nice! I did have a big question that I forgot to ask in my original response - and I promise I will leave you alone and not be a pest!! I've seen different ways of setting the bottom vent on the weber. For smoking - do you leave the bottom vent closed? Thanks so much!!
I'm smoking my shoulder tomorrow and rewatched your video and you did say the bottom vents were open halfway. Sorry I missed it the first time! Thanks for sharing all your tips!!
@@jeaninem7281 sound about right. It was also cold out then I would say 1/4-1/2 open on bottom and half on top. With any kettle cook give yourself plenty of extra time. A long rest is a good thing. And just go for a grate Temp of 225-300 just roll with wherever it wants to run at
Love the video, just wanted to maybe give something useful as far as comments go I guess lol. Not sure what editing software you use, but you could clean up the edits or maybe script the "scenes" so to say to make it feel smoother and to not hear a continuation of what you were saying. Also, not sure if you're wearing sunglasses in the dark just to protect your eyes, but maybe invest in a cheap pair of clear protection glasses so no one calls you out on it lol. Honestly loved the video either way, just wanted to help you improve going forward. Gonna subscribe to view the progress of your videos.
I agree with everything you are saying 🤣. But I am filming around my kids yelling and dogs barking then editing it together on some free software on my phone. As for the glasses, I wear sunglasses all day and have a major sunglass tan 😂 Plus the camera light makes me squint sometimes. Thanks for all the support, I really appreciate it!
You are going off ambient or the lid temp ?
I never use the thermometer in the lid on the Weber I had a temperature probe on the cooking grate. Thanks for watching
@@RustyBBQLamb thank you sir, very happy with the smoke n sizzle I got. Going to use your method for the porkbutt this weekend. Love your channel and thanks for all the helpful tips. Have a great day!

Looks good but more pepper for texas style.
I have no problem with that 👍🙌
Texans don't consider pork "BBQ". If it ain't beef, it ain't BBQ. :)
