► Key Takeaways
If you don't have time to watch the entire video right now, here are the most important pieces of information to take away:
- A wrist flip causes inconsistent contact; you can sometimes hit behind the ball, top the ball, or completely miss because of a wrist flip.
- The flip happens when the shaft overtakes the lead arm too early in the swing.
- Golfers flip their wrists to correct an open clubface during the swing; as the player approaches the ball, they realize the clubface is open, and the wrist flip is their way to fix the error before it’s too late.

so if I am hooking the ball that would mean I am moving in the right direction, but how to know when to get the wrist in the right position for al clubs? thanks John
My wrist angles are good at impact and at the top, but I still flip. So theoretically it's my brain trying to square the club face, but the face is most definitely square and yet I still flip.
