“Ik you see me riding with out my helmet but that is simply because I left it at home or forgot it” skips to next scene with your helmet strapped on your side lol. All jokes aside really great video!
I'd recommend a first aid kit as well. Even just a basic antibiotic cream and bandaids can be enough to help out a lot in a pinch. I've actually been in situations where I'm just skating through my neighborhood and I see a family's kid fall and scrape their knee or elbow that it'd come in a huge helping hand
Ive always liked having the lights mounted down low because it really highlights all of the imperfections of the road. Any low spot makes a giant shadow!
Better to carry a complete spare wheel than just inner tube. Other wise you will have to carry a pump as well. Also you can change the wheel in seconds and keep riding.
Hard to beat Tynee for any brand. The Mini 3 pro is the best ever real electricskateboard. The Explorer is great value for money. Have you guys heard about Tynee? If not what rock are you living under? ;-)
I've heard about them. Great brand. Fantastic to start with. If you ride for adrenaline you may want something with more power and speed though. But for most that's the perfect board
Things I ride w are: half mask, one (1) earphone, evolve backpack (very versatile including attaching board to it and has reflectors integrated) and comfy shoes. I typically ride at speed of 16mph or less lol🤷🏻♂️🛹
Hi Chris 😀 I work in Cambridge 😀 I just need a board to propel me from the railway station up & down the “misguided” 🤣🤣🤣 busway to Royal Papworth & back. It’s a mile & a half. Pretty good surface as well.
@@silvercrypto4284 A month or so ago I gave my spare board to a friend to join us in a group ride...he snapped the deck. I laughed my ass of, but he wasn't too happy about it ;D. Couple weeks ago I was quite far from home and my kingpin snapped, good thing I was close to train station..but fuck me, should I carry spare kingpin and fuck about replacing it outside in the cold LOL
Awesome video. Just stopping by to kind look at what you carry while riding. I'm looking for anything useful i might find useful but didn't think i would need. Although this is is for e skate, i have the Vsett 11+ e scooter and i think a few of the things in this video can still be applicable here. Like the powered drill. Interesting what e skate riders bring.
Hey mate, great content I join you on your different choices, usefull stuff. I would not recommend riding with music in both ears, I used to do it but doing 20 kms/day I have seen a lot of bike accident so I prefer to be extra aware of my surrounding. Btw if I am not on the road and its free of risk I may enjoy some music while riding ;) ! The only thing I would like to add to your list is a first aid kit. You can make it yourself or buy one already done. But THIS has helped me alot, for myself after hitting the ground pretty hard, or for the biker next to me that had been hit by a car. Not many people think about that but you can save someone's life just by having some basics in your bag. Great review mate, won a sub
You should check out "aftershokz" earbuds, they let you hear everything while listening to the music because they conduct through your bone. Perfect for eskating!!
Is changing or repairing a punctured tube similar to a bicycle tire? Packing a spare tube, patch kit and compact pump might be a lighter and more compact option v. carrying a complete wheel.
Yeah that's what I do - saves buying a whole new wheel. Also, better yet than a full patch kit is a set of self adhesive patches. Saves a lot of time and hassle for only a few quid.
I dont skate i want to get a board soon, so i dont know what u need but i would recommend a leatherman, and depending on where u live i would bring like a tint pocket knife or something
First time on this channel, but about the music thing, i think you should try bone conduction earbuds, so you can listen to your surroundings and music at the same time. But other than that, the only other thing i would add would be a water bottle.
As someone that commutes on a bike and has an eboard, I would never use in-ear headphones (not even one). I like some background music on the bike, so I use bone conduction headphones. That way I can hear the tunes, but also everything else around me - try some out.
How do you lock or store your board when you’re out? If you want a night out with a few mates in the city and you ride your e-board in but don’t want to be carrying it around with you all night everywhere you go how do you secure your board from theft?
In your opinion how water proof is the bamboo all terrain?.. can it go over /through puddles?.. do you carry a cover for the board in the event of a down pour?
I see people with a box in between their legs on the top of their skateboards and they say it’s a add on battery. Where do you get one? I can’t find one anywhere
You either have to custom make one, buy a mountain board which comes that way or buy a board from a company that offers one as an option. Exway Atlas Pro is the only board that comes to mind.
(minimum) Brain bucket, full finger gloves, knee pads, small backpack where I attach my remote control to one of the straps with a lanyard, skate tool (additional) Forward lights attached to the brain bucket, flashing lights on the back of the brain bucket and attached to my person, battery charger
GForm legs, shirt and arm protection. They are low profile and can be worn under clothes. I wear a full face helmet because smashing your face probably sucks. A bottle of water and a small power bank to charge my remote.
Good video and good insight but isn’t you bag going to be very heavy? I use shred lights night op pack because I like to have my hands free plus I feel it makes me very visible. I am going to buy some lower profile pads been thinking about it for a while. 🤙🤙
the main thing you missed out for me is a longboard carry bag not the ones that just strap on the back but ones that cover the full board (waterproof bag) if you ever get caught in the rain you dont want to risk your board.
love the vids. i’m planning on buying a gtr carbon in the next twelve months. funny tangent. why don’t e board riders just kick when they run out of battery? better than paying for a taxi
Awesome channel! You convince me to buy a GTR bamboo 2in1!! like you i'm coming from boosted board V2 and stealth ;) we've got alot of shitty roads in france like in UK, seeing you surfing with your 6" wheels make me dream ;) my board will arrive in 2 days!
You should check out "aftershokz" earbuds, they let you hear everything while listening to the music because they conduct through your bone. Perfect for eskating!!
@@averageeskatereviews they sound pretty good, probably not as good as airpods pro but it feels like the music is playing inside your head and you can hear everything from the outside world, really cool if you get a chance

ONE MORE THING!!! A compact horn! Sometimes you gotta let people know you’re coming or let them know they suck at driving! That’s when you’ll wish you had an airhorn 😉
I pretty much bought an evolve carbon GTR because of your reviews. Thank you. Have you seen the Raldey Carbon AT board, I almost bought it, have a look at it. It seems just as good for roughly half the price.
What I always take and wear is Skatetool.. helmet and wristguards.. don't always take pads and gloves, and I find using gloves can be awkward adjusting settings on the remote. Skatetoll is obvious.. and helmet is a no brainer..(pun intended), and I wear the wrist guards because I don't want to break a scaphoid or something from a low speed spill.

Voltaic Mobility same here the night ops packs makes a work of difference

You forgot about a regular skateboard, for when someone inevitably yells, "Do a Kickflip!"
I like to take my entire house with me. Saved me multiple times..
Mane, You are advanced in this game!! Im taking notes.
Your enthusiasm and expertise at creating informative videos is the main reason I decided to get a carbon gtr
My essentials with street wheels are just t-tool,extra belt, swiss army knife, mini pliers.
Just purchased a bamboo gtr just waiting for it to arrive! Going to be riding it to work leaving my car at home lol
5.11 Stryke pants have an internal pocket in the knee area for pads that you can insert.

Low profile motorcycle clothing: pants with built in knee and hip pads. Flannel shirt with built in elbow and shoulder pads.
So far... my only essential is the remote 😆
My gtr is here, OMG the improvements on the carve is huge!!!
But oh God it's heavy compare from my boosted lol
Totally agree. Carbon is much lighter but the Bamboo is HEAVY but so worth it!
To summerize this whole video: You might need 1 extra of every object in existence before going for a ride, so just pack it in your bag.
