Thanks for another in depth video! I have tried all these setups with my Bamboo GTR. It is hard to find a happy medium. 107's were my favorite setup. First, because the board sits lower, so the center of gravity is a lot better. Second, top speed is greatly increased. I was able to hit 27 mph with them. The 7 inch Pneumatics just dont get that top speed. The most I was able to achieve with a full battery was 22-23 mph tops. Now here's the kicker! I bought the 120mm foamies and used the same gear 32T and I was able to hit 28 mph. The foamies are like riding on Pneumatics. They are so soft and feel like butter. And the more you ride them, the softer they get. I have used them with different gear ratios for instance 38T. You get a little bit better acceleration, however, top speed suffers. If you run them with the 32T gear try not to ride so aggressive on GTR mode because the motors will overheat. You wont have any issues in PRO mode, but if you want to kick it up a notch to GTR its no problem. Would love to see a video on the 120mm foamies sir!
I hope you see this: I bought an Evolve Carbon GTR on the AT wheels on the Gold Coast in Australia after watching all your vids over the last few weeks. I love it! Thanks so much for all your work.
Great content my guy! A friend and I just ordered 2 Carbon AT's a few days ago and can't wait to go late night full moon rip sesh around the local golf courses around here in Southwest Florida. There's seriously 22 courses within a 30 mile radius of my house. Much love homie.
Another quality video! I recently picked up a Bamboo GTR 2-in-1. Kept the 6" AT wheels on it for a while as I hadn't skated in years so needed to get used to it again. Swapped over to the ABEC 11 107s last week and damn! So much fun. Feels much better than the AT as they carve much better. AT is just a bit too grippy.
Always very informative and covers everything for someone like myself is looking for 👌 keep them coming! Could you try get your hands on some Iwonder cloudwheels foamies and do review on those please 🙏 I have the same board and I really want an in-depth review (like you've been doing with all your reviews) on how they preform on the gtr bamboo.
Sweet. You look like you’d be fun to ride with. I have just switched from ATs to 120mm foamies. Liking the way they feel as you do have some confidence with pathing slabs and rough roads but you can feel them slide in the wet. Weather has been terrible since I put them on and missing the grip at the mo.
I just bought 7”AT conversion kit. I’ll share my specs. I do a 3.4 mile commute to work which is relatively flat. I ride straight, no carving. I weigh 150lbs. My preferred speed is about 20mph. With 97mm ,32T it takes 12% battery. 27mph top speed is possible. With 7”AT, the same commute takes 18% battery. 21mph is possible with full charge. Once battery goes to 90% , top speed becomes 19mph. While smoother over bumps and carving gets better traction with AT, the board is noticeably slower. I prefer the 97mm with 32t. I just can’t bear to give up speed and range! You just have to watch the bumps in the road more carefully. If I could design a wheel, I’d do a 6 or 7” tire in the shape of the AT, but using the material of the small wheels. Hard rubber compound , not inflatable. That would get more speed , better for bumps and better range. It wouldn’t be so good off road but beast in the street. Great fun. Cheers! 👍🏾

The Cloud wheels may potentially be the "happy medium" you refer to. You'd get the some of the AT comfort & safety while getting back the speed of the smaller wheels. Hope you get a chance to test them out.
Found this really informative and helpful. I’ve just brought a secondhand Gt carbon with the Ats on. Think I’ll leave em on now. Thankyou 👍 Perth Australia 🇦🇺
I agree, the AT wheels allow you to do last minute harsh turns and they still grip. I had a child on a scooter pull out on me a few days ago and I was able to avoid him (I was doing 18-20mph) and I worry if I had made the same turn with street wheels I'd have slid out for sure
I've been on the fence about ordering a pneumatic kit....FANTASTIC review, much needed info, my main concern was 'can I still carve on smooth streets', apparently yes! Thanks :)
Great video man! I absolutely love my Carbon GTR w/ 7” AT wheels. I do occasionally swap them out for the 107’s but road quality varies so much where I live that I just can’t not go back to the AT’s. I’m hanging for your 6” video because I’d be great to see if you get more range and too speed than the 7”
For your AT tires.... you might want to try some silicon sealants for bicycles tires as a method of preventing flat tires or punctures. I use a product from OrangeCycle; it’s a sealant that you squeeze into your tube and it simply works by instantly sealing any puncture that comes along. I used to get a puncture at least once a week before I used this stuff...but Ive gone 5 months of constant use without a puncture (riding daily). I’m sure you’ll find a comparable produce where you live as cyclist use this type product everywhere. Just thought I’d mention this in case you’ve never heard of it. If you’re prone to getting tire punctures, try it...you’ll like it. It will make a difference!
