- I finally get my hands on the ultimate special edition hellcat. This is the 2023 Charger King Daytona and it is a monster. With only 300 being produced this is truly the rarest Charger ever made. The car features distinctive ques inside and out and packs a massive 807 supercharged horsepower. Is this car worth 100k or more? You be the judge.

I work in car sales for Dodge and not only was that an excellent walk around but a super fun ride along and showcase of that beautiful King Daytona. Awesome video and props also to the #1 Dodge power broker and a great dealership!

$10k over stick for cars like this has been the norm for like the last 20plus years to be honest. But under $8k over sticker is actually pretty decent. I looked up 2022 Jailbreaks and some are going for over $220k total price.....No offence but that's Porsche 911 Turbo S, used Lambo and used Ferrari.........and even Viper money right there.

I had a scat pack for a couple years, really liked the car. I now have a Tesla Model Y performance, and miss the V8. I'd be interested in getting a Hellcat to have alongside the Tesla, but the Hellcats have gotten way too expensive. I looked online the other day and I couldn't fine a new or slightly used hellcat anywhere in the country for under about $80k. Most are $90k or more which is absolutely ridiculous. Might as well just get a C8 or a used Porsche.
Buy the hellcat used
Just don't buy these overpriced cars and you'll see the prices plummet
C 8 are Expensive. A Z06 2023 on our Showroom going for $230,000.00 & Chevy wants $100,000. 00 down deposit

If I bought this kind of car, I'd definitely need to have it kept in a garage at night. Used to have a widebody charger scat, but I traded it due to the increase in theft of these cars. It's unfortunate that we live in a world where thieves have no regard for what you work hard for.

I have a 22 392 shaker widebody would it be a good idea to remove the shaker and add a CAI? Or just keep the shaker and add a CAI??
I just had the sub woofer in my 807 last call Charger serviced in that same dealership this past Tuesday. I didn't see the king Daytona there. Great looking car but I think my spec looks way better.

Cool car! The interior stitching is identical to my 22 ScatPack Widebody with the Hemi Orange pkg... Mine also had the same orange brake calipers as part of the pkg. 👍👍
I wonder if any dealer would honor the Tread Lightly 1% below invoice deal that is in place between Tread Lightly and Stellantis. ( I ordered my ScatPack using my discount certificate, as above and no dealer markup).

I wish dodge prices didn’t go up soo much. I want a widebody shaker scat but when i configured it, it was 65k, that’s alot for a scat and that’s not including the taxes and fees

The other day I was quoted 250k for a Black Ghost.
I’ve been looking for a Challenger Redeye allocation for almost 3 months now for under 50k over sticker without results. All the dealers that didn’t go to town with the markups are out of stock and the ones with remaining stock have it cause their crazy markups.

News flash $7500 over sticker is still a mark up. It needs to stop not slow down or be variable. Even better than they could charge doesn't work, it won't stop if people just keep on throwing money at the dealership whenever they want.

I could see maybe if it was the Raptor version or a F150 Raptor R or any other high performance model but a basic Bronco sheesh. She got hosed badly. Not worth it in the slightest

She wasn't even in a hurry because she had a vehicle to use until she figured it all out. It was not acceptable to drive a truck around. I gave her my thoughts about it and that wasn't what she did. Come to think of it I gave that speech when she wanted to pierce her nose years ago too. Now she has an extra hole in her head and Bronco with a cloth top that will never see a trail and always be a expensive loss to her. The generation of I want it now with no thought of repercussions

Awesome review man, also I couldn't help but notice it's a HC Charger with a rear armrest lol. My new Redeye and every other non-2015 HC is missing the armrest (but all Challengers got them). The 2020 Daytona had em too. I ordered my Redeye-Jailbreak last year and the greedy fuck at Safford CDJR in Springfield VA wants me to pay $35K ADM for the car I ordered a year ago 3 times and it kept getting cancelled 🙄. If I can just order a new 23 without that stupid ADM I'd happily drive all the way to FL and make it happen. $8k sounds amazing cuz dealers nationwide been cappin and making ppl pay stupid money just for Jailbreaks and HCs in general! JBs aren't really that special as its just one customer's perfect HC tailored to their liking like I did my order. Its not like a Swinger KD, BG or Demon 170 etc where they're exclusive models in their own factory spec in general. I seen "Special Edition" JBs go for $150+ and folks geekin for them lol. Its just a customer's order that the customer backed out on like I'm going to back out of mines since I don't like giving money away. Hell I probably would've paid 8k for my current JB order, certainly Not 35k! These guys are about to get a ton of sales👍🏾

What is the top speed on the King Daytona? What are they going for? I own a 2019 Daytona Scat Pack that I really enjoy. So far, I put 66,000 miles on it. I have 1 payment left!

Yes Jack! I totally agree. I have owned several Chargers and Challengers and I had to have the wheels sent out to have them chromed and one in black chrome because Dodge won't put anything but black wheels on all their hellcats. They brag about having 13 wheel options, all black. You would think they would offer at least one option other than black.

I owned a Charger Scatpack Widebody in 2020. I loved driving it because of the low end torque. However, that was pretty much it. Once I got pass 60mph the power kinda died off and it’s weight started to show. Ownership was also stressful due to it be a high theft vehicle. I sold it because it became a headache to enjoy sadly.
True, it’s a blast until I’d say around 80+ then drops off for some reason. But stop light to stop light is where it shines 😂

How do these cars as in hellcat and scat pack not have adaptive cruise buttons are blank on steering wheel
ACC is part of the technology package that gives you lane assist, auto high beam lights& rainsense wipers. Its available on Scat Packs and 300s and I believe it's standard on Grand Cherokee SRT & Trackhawk and most TRXs & 300 SRT8. I wish my Redeye had it but the Hellcat Chargers/Challengers need the extra space on the bumper for incoming airflow that the 3" camera would've taken😂. I love those features since I'm already spoiled with my Escalade ESV Premium. For $100k it should've came with it standard but it's not even available. My sister in-law has a Hyundai Elantra that has it and I hate having lame blanked out buttons on a Flagship car lol. Even a GT that's 1/3 the price can be ordered with it. We're also missing back seat arm rests on most HC Chargers

to the one dealership. THEY ARE ASKING $100k OVER STICKER PRICE . All i have to say is "NEVER" IN MY LIFETIME WILL I EVER BUY ENEYTHING FROM DODGE OR JEEP!!. AND IT'S A FRIGGIN SHAME THAT THE COMPANY LETS THE DEALERSHIPS GET AWAY WITH THAT CRAP.

You mentioned "breaking it in" I haven't heard that about these cars from my dealer here. I just bought a 22' Scatpack and wasn't told anything about a break in period. Is there one?
Some people believe you shouldn't drive a car hard for the first 500 miles if it's brand new then slowly get more aggressive with it till you hit 1500 then it should be fine
Your manual will have exactly what you should do.
Well majority of sport cars/high performance vehicles new off the lot shouldn’t be beat on right away and needs time to be broken in normally 500 miles is the majority of time it takes maybe longer

I just want to get my 5.7 Chrysler 300C back together so I can drive the damn thing. Granted its getting eagle heads, eagle intake manifold, long tubes, exhaust, stage 3 cam... so maybe it will be worth the wait. I just wanna go fast dammit.
I feel like they should've done more. Rims that are exclusive to the King Daytona, a plaque with a number of the vehicle. Those seats came straight out of the Daytona Scat Pack. Hell, give it the Challenger Redeye hood to be different. Pretty lazy if you ask me.
@@amyethekidd What I meant was that they should've given this special edition King Daytona, the dual snorkel hood that is found on the RedEye Challengers.
You could literally spec out a Redeye-Jailbreak to have everything except for the seats and orange interior stitching. Even the Daytona decal (plain) is optional on the Jailbreak. Unique wheels would've been very expensive to replace down the road if they get stolen or damaged if only 300 cars have that set.
Not a fan of the orange brake calipers against the Go Mango paint.
