Would love to see you use something like dragy to compare to what car says and log and document how fast you can 0-60 on the road. I go 0-60 in 3.1 with a full tank of 91 octane pump gas and DA of 5300 in my modded S4 on the street, and have run a couple of these that never managed to stay within a car length to 100mph. Neither of the guys that owned them said they got to 80 w/o spinning on any of the runs. 1.6 sounds cool, and it is. BUT, like you said, thats with a professional driver, 1 gal of 104 race fuel or less, perfect DA and after multiple runs on a track after a giant smoky burnout at someplace sea lvl like florida.
That’s one of my dream cars but I wish they would have made the ac vents a tad bit smaller and made that touch screen a little bit bigger especially in a car that is that expensive. Dodge has some of the most bad ass interiors as far as the domestics go in my opinion.
Why does dodge never really hit the numbers they advertise. That’s not cool you’d never hit 0 to 60 in one under two seconds even on a track with a 1000 horsepower. I think dodges are cool even before the hell cats and all but it’s not worth the money they are really overpricing these. A 1000 horsepower sound good but you’re not hitting the numbers dodge advertised. Not near
When the original Demon launched in 2018, Dodge was claiming a 9:65 second 1/4 mile @ 140 m.p.h. if memory serves me. That too was with perfect air and a prepped track with seat delete and the skinny front tires and the 840 h.p. tune. I believe Herman, from Demonology took a whole lot of trips to achieve those numbers. I think he achieved it but not positive. I know others never achieved those numbers. The Tesla Plaid seems to have no problem knocking off 9.2 sec 150 m.p.h. 1/4 mile times.

How is it possible that in europe we have 100 octane gasoline and in the US filling up 87 is normal. Doesn’t the fuel quality affect the lifespan of an engine?
Our gasoline is rated differently than in Europe. Most fuel stations here have 87, 89, 91, and sometimes 93. There are other fuel stations, like those near dragstrips and race tracks, which have even higher fuel available. Also, some fuel stations have E85 and other variants. Our version of "93" is equivalent to a European "100".
@Andrej,. Also, it depends on the engine requirements of the vehicle. The demon 170 would need the best fuel, possibly even race fuel to get the most out of it. Race fuel is lead based fuel.
In addition, race fuel comes in octane ratings of 110, 112, 114, 116 and 118. We sold Sunoco race fuel at the shop where I worked and was on the crew for a nostalgia front engine Top Fuel dragster. Top Fuel is Nitro Methane mixed with alcohol. Depending on how much alcohol you mix with it to determine your percentage. The professional racers mix at about 85 percent.

srt said ..aight hire them old school NHRA guys we gotto make this thing launches all thie weight lol
that thing is insane!
Sick
Real American 🇺🇸 💪🏻…
Dying breed 😢😢😢
Let's be realistic..we all love dream cars like this. The fastest in the world.. faster than 4 million dollar cars. And it's a Dodge!!! Well designed and really cool!!!
No doubt it’s fast, but the 0-60 run starts somewhere like 5:16 and ends up around 5:20 so I don’t get where 1.66 comes in, it’s more like double that
A absolute beast of a machine
Wouldn't trade my C63s for this, but wouldn't mind adding it to the garage. Outdated interior and all, you can't beat one of the last monster American V8s. And I'm not a Dodge person at ALL.
If you’re willing to risk your life driving a Dodge from 0-60 mph in 1.66s, power to you. Al Bundy tips his hat.
in case you wanna know but there is a 2023 hellcat red eye for sale in oz for a lazy $575.000
How come i cant Build and Price one from the Dodge Website????
Demon 170 vs Veyron how do they fare on everything but top speed?
this guy sounds like a mazda or subaru driver
It’s like when a car enthusiast first tries a motorbike. ⚡️
Price in US $99k. Price in Denmark $500K, and that's probably an understatement
No need for bigger screen. Your eyes need to stay on the road with that much power.
I’ve yet to see anyone hit under 2
Why does dodge never really hit the numbers they advertise. Not near
wheers the parachute?
Claimed 1.66 sec 0-60, struggles to get below 3 seconds. Sounds like a Dodge, yep.
if you knew anything that time isnt for the street thats for a glued drag strip and thats the reason they can claim it.
But nobody wants a microwaved steak either
@@timrusch2634,says you.🤔
Exactly correct. Good Grammar doesn't always mean good taste. Internal combustion vehicles have a soul. Toasters don't. But to each their own.@@timrusch2634
@@timrusch2634No body want a car can't even turn!!😂
What's his monthly payment
$100 a month
He renting the trunk out to a migrant family for $500 a month, so it's all good.
Way too fuckin much
What's the top speed of this puppy? 220 mph?
Modded Hellcat are owners laughing rn
How is it possible that in europe we have 100 octane gasoline and in the US filling up 87 is normal. Doesn’t the fuel quality affect the lifespan of an engine?
Our gasoline is rated differently than in Europe. Most fuel stations here have 87, 89, 91, and sometimes 93. There are other fuel stations, like those near dragstrips and race tracks, which have even higher fuel available. Also, some fuel stations have E85 and other variants. Our version of "93" is equivalent to a European "100".
@@steveo5556 Oh okay, it makes sense now thanks :)
On vid that was 3.3 sec not 1.66 seconds
No shit. He explained it
wich seat is standard ? 😅
1.7 time at the best drag strip lines? I would be surprised if it can do 2.0 at usual road and 1.8 at average strip line.
Can it beat a Plaid?
Just watched a Ferrari 812 blow the doors off of a 170. Not a dragstrip which is the only place for a car like this. Overpowered without AWD.
443 miles on it and he's redlining the fuq out of it. I'd hate to be the 2nd or 3rd owner of this thing.
Crazy to see dodge have grip on normal roads
warm the rear tires next time before launch. there is a way to lunch the demon.
