- UK Gladiators - Series 7 1998 - Episode 8 - Heat 8 - 24th October 1998
Fiona Blaiklock (Physiotherapist from Aberdeen, Scotland) versus Jane Smith (Full-time athlete and springboard diver from Sheffield, South Yorkshire)
Micah Hudson (Health spa manager from Acocks Green, South-East Birmingham) versus Ross Kirby (Barcoding company worker from Nantwich, Cheshire)
Notes: Pendulum is in the eighth heat for its fifth appearance to be played due to an increase in usage where it has been played in five heats but it is put on the first event because Powerball is put on the second event, instead.
Swingshot appears for the first time in eight shows in an event line-up for its first appearance but it is played as a split event for the men whilst the women play Whiplash for its fifth appearance.

Notice that they use different pulley systems on Tightrope this season to prevent the gloved hands snagging like what happened last year.

Contestant Jane Smith was a top diver in the UK at the time but Rebecca Gallantree was more successful a few years later
We see Jane Smith in this heat who for me was the best female contestant. Not just on her performance in the events but on personality and looks. Does anyone know what she is doing now.
Shes basically Sarah Damm but likable,, Sarah Damm was a great contender but a spiteful attitude made her unlikable.

did Diesel replace Khan? suprised Khan aint in this season after last season he kept sayng how he always wanted to be a glad
Diesel should been in years earlier briliant all rounder like hunter
Diesel did seem to miss a few shows so he may have been a late replacement like Laser and Fox were. I don't think they ever said why Khan left but I guess with Vulcan coming in, they didn't need another big Gladiator and Khan wasn't really that popular from memory.

Why isn't jet in this anyone know
Jet left after series 4 in 1995. This was due to an neck injury she sustained on pyramid during a live show before the filming of series 5 commenced. Pyramid was also scrapped in series 5 because of this. It returned in series 6 with modifications for health and safety, but these changes were unpopular so the event was scrapped again in series 7

I've never liked the personality of any woman that resembles Fiona, so I was very pleased that she was absolutely humiliated at the end there. She even tripped over her own feet at the start of the see-saws which I enjoyed immensely

I don't think the referee could have known what Vulcan was apparently saying before the match to taunt him, if he did, probably would have given both yellow cards. He did try to start a fight after the contest was over and that is a yellow card offence, and dangerous also as if the gladiator also starts going for it for real you have a real messy situation.
Oh Brother, In the Next episode, John Anderson is going to be MUCH, MUCH WORSE!
