I remember seeing this in 1967 and being mesmerized by the opening credits. Loved the score! Lots of great gags. Movie was a Royal Mess, but I loved it!

One of the best opening sequences to a film ever - and what a glorious mess of a film - as seen by the fact it had 5 directors and Peter Sellers walked out mid way through filming

"Glorious mess" - like describing a great failed dessert.
Actually, no dessert is ever a total failure as long as it stays messy.

I thought it was Genius. Having all 5 cars come together in the beginning alludes to Illuminati. There are many more symbols in the film

2:35 This particular credit of "Additional Sequenes" was something of a compromise. Directors were shooting different scenes without any input or knowledge of what the others were doing. Val Guest was originally assigned to direct Woody Allen's scenes, but was later brought in to finish directing the scenes in Scotland after John Houston left the project. After a rough cut of the film, Charles Feldman had the after thought of having a narrative linking all the different scenes together and assigned Guest to write and direct such link scenes. Obviously, such links couldn't be done seamlessly. Nonetheless, Feldman originally was going to credit Guest as "Coordinating Director" for his input of the link scenes. But Guest threatened to sue, because the haphazard nature would imply "it's my name up as the guy who didn't do his job!" So he was credited for 'Additional Scenes' instead.

Burt Bacharach's score made this film worth watching (Although Deborah Kerr's performance helped , too) Burt also gave a big lift to another film from this same period: What's New Pussycat.

Every time I watch this marvellous movie I see new details.
Absolutely baroque in lush details, not just the credits, but all the way through.
    And the music!

Great opening title scenes. The only thing missing was the Columbia "Torch Lady" logo.

The only good thing about this film is the music. The 1967 Casino Royale makes a fool of itself more than it makes a fool of the Bond movies.

Great opening title sequence and love the music. Though always curious why David Niven doesn't receive top billing here or in the end credits as James Bond (or rather Sir James Bond). Unlike the Bond actors in the official film series as well as Connery in Never Say Never Again.

It's meant to tip off the viewers as the scene playing before these credits shows Evelyn being introduced as Bond.

Among the only one there knows the in Fleming's credit the opening sequence is almost unrecognizable maybe his wife and put it in the contract not to give Ian credit from this movie LOL Elise the production's by United artist gave Fleming credits up front this one you need a magnifying glass to see
