Heath Thorpe was basically given a bag of onions by the powers that be in Australian Gymnastics and has created a three Michelin star soup. All class Heath, what an outstanding performance off the floor ⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️
His interviews were excellent. So sad that his country screwed him over so badly. I hope they learn fast and do whatever they can to help him quality for Paris because he *deserves* to be there.
What a disgrace of a gymnastics program. It's revolting that he was left off the team for absolutely no reason. Leaving your national champion off the team, you'd think it would be for the benefit of the team, and yet Australia decides they don't have enough to send. It makes no fucking sense.
I’m American, but I was excited to see him compete as well. He has one of the most artistic floor exercise routines and brings something different than everyone else. It’s a shame he was left off. Really hope to see him at the Olympics next year.
I cant understand why he is unable to participate for the world given He si the national champion...hop he can Join in Olympics...wake up australlia..Love you Heath..
I am happy Australia finisched in last podition and dindn t quslify for olympics. It was what the Aussie federation deserved not sending their best gymnast....for " strange " reasons...
For anyone saying he should have made the team, his All Around score that got him national champion (78.299) would place him 50th in Worlds Qualifications, for reference Clay Stephens (AUS) placed 38th with a score of 79.664.
I really hope Heath finds a way to qualify for the Olympics. His federation should be ashamed.

I think there are some other reasons...

Obviously political given the bogus reasoning!
Such a Jessica question! “How did you avoid crying?!” I LOLed.
After this entire World Championships, I became a huge fan of him as a person
Terrible decision! I'm Australian and was so excited to see him compete!

I love him. Australia is a beautiful place but this is shameful they did this young man so wrong

Did AUS even qualify any individuals?
no the men didn’t qualify anyone / the women qualified a full team
Remarkable.
Do we know the logic of gymnastics Australia? What was their reasoning for leaving him off?
they said they wanted to prioritise qualifying individuals but heath was their best shot at qualifying an AAer so there really was no logic.
I have my own mind, but I hope I am wrong...

I have never heard of such a thing! The best gymnast in your country is not allowed to compete? How does that make any sense?
Keep in mind, HE IS THEIR NATIONAL CHAMP! Shame on you Australia Gymnastics!
