Elisa……you are doing a fantastic job on your van. Doing better than someone who does this often. I can’t believe how precise your measurements are, how you knew about making your floor straight. And installing your solar panels was a fine job. You have really learned a lot. Wish I were there to help. Good to see you back. Thanks for sharing.

Wow! You've made a ton of progress on the build. I especially like the roof layout, it's textbook perfect! 👍
I will offer a word of caution. At the 3:08 mark there's a black plastic cover along the side of the van that your vinyl flooring is touching. You need to make sure that you're able to easily remove that panel as it contains wires from the chassis that you may need to get to, including a very useful 12v upfitter connection if your van is so equipped.
Also, if you're having difficulty finding a good transition piece to cover the edges of the flooring (At the 5:25 mark and along the sliding door) I think I have some extra pieces of round over stainless steel angle that I used in my build. After trying many different angled pieces I found one style that works perfectly. I'd be happy to send you what I have left free of charge as I really don't have another use for it (I'm never building another van again🤣 ). Just let me know if you're interested.

Sorry to hear about your illness.
    You work/build your van like a pro👏👏👏
    Super nice floor.
If it's OK I want to give you a tips.
Install a on/off switch on the solar panel cable.
Because your panel deliver a lot of power that could be dangerous if you in the future need to change the Jackery connector.
Please be carefully and put dark blanket on the panel and do it when it dark outside if you install a switch.
Looking forward to follow your project.
    Take care 💕👍

    Good Afternoon Miss Elisa,
When my son's and I restored their first cars I started them on the habit of listing tools by size they needed to keep with the cars. From welding to buying them small tool boxes I was allowed to help but only from a distance, once they picked up welding TIG, I was fired. Your van is becoming quite a nice home, you are to be congratulated for your precision. I've known "finish carpenters" that couldn't cut and fit as well as you have. Cutting metal and drilling holes in your van were so nerve racking in the beginning but I feel you've sealed and insulated against leaks better than most.
I am glad to hear that you are feeling better and healing from this crud attacking so many across our fine country. As I tear the flooring up in my own camper and layout for radiant floor heating I do marvel at your terrific flooring. I have to go with floor heat because I will travel back up here to the northern states and my own home in Montana. With the barn full of tools set up for this house renovation I too am stuck outdoors doing my work and living. In my camper the debate is on which window I delete so I may install a small woodstove. After a motorcycle and the woodstove location 27" doesn't seem like a lot of room to live in!
Wishing you good health and continued comfortable weather for your home building. We will never meet out on the road but I know from watching you that your van will be all you need to be happy. Thank You for sharing your journey!
With Love and Respect, You are in my prayers
    Hoka Hey

If you haven't already thought of it you might want to consider putting those loose solar panel wires in the roof in flexible (corrugated) plastic conduit from the auto parts store. Over time the sun and the cable rubbing on the metal roof will wear thru the cable causing a short. The plastic conduit is cheap. It is also "split" so you can easily install it over the completed wires (no need to undo them).

I just watched someone else’s van build the other yesterday, having all the solar panels at the front of the van and having a rooftop deck is a game changer. But only having one way to go up to the deck without a ladder hanging outside is a sky light for your bed. So as a solo female van lifer ain’t nobody gonna climb up your deck from the outside.

Sorry to hear that you were down for a while. You've really been busy! I've insulated a few of the Promasters and the channels are "fun" with a capital F. But you got through it. You will find that if you invest in an extendable duster like a Swiffer. That cleaning the panels is a bit easier. And it is double duty, you can hit the flooring also. Which by the way, you did a Fantastic job of installing! That's usually where I am called. People have a tendency to start on one side and by the middle they see that the lines are going crazy lol. I can't wait to see the wiring going in. A little advice. Use the grey plastic electrical conduit. You will never need to take a wall apart to work on the wiring or add something. Just pull a string through the conduit from one junction box to the next and leave a little to tie onto. If you want to add another set of wires just tape onto your string and pull them through. Just remember to add a new string at the other end so you have one handy for the next time. I like the layout you decided on. The extra storage space in back is perfect. So easy to get to things from the doors. Keep up the great work!

GREAT JOB, AND LEARNING THE TOOLS... TOO CUTE😋😄, BLUE LOCTITE ON THE SCREWS... CHECK. GROMMETS ARE AWESOME, JUST A LITTLE HELP, ANY HOLES YOU PUT ON THE ROOF, BE SURE TO ADD SIKIFLEX WHITE TO SEAL THEM UP. EVEN OVER GROMMETS. THE FLOOR IS SWEEET, VERY PROFESSIONAL. I HAVE 400 WATTS ON MY ROOF, AND ITS PLENTY, BUT TRY TO GET A POWERBANK WITH AT LEAST 2000 WATTS OR MORE . THEY TAKE UP LESS ROOM THAN LITHIUM BATTERIES AND ALL THE COMPONENTS INVOLVED. PLUS A POWERBANK CAN BE INCREASED REAL EASY AND IS PORTABLE. WELL DONE BEAUTIFUL. 🙏🙏👍👍💛💛

Great job, you really pay attention to detail. You're hired! Looking at your progress, standing back and seeing what you've done is the reward. I find that if I'm not building something I don't feel complete. I think I like the planning and gathering and executing something, then I'm like, "What's next". Some things never get finished though, lots of abandoned projects due to time and $.
