Traces of the Glory of the Semarang Tycoon "Tio Sing Liong"

The video is about a wealthy businessman in Semarang. The name of this wealthy businessman is Zhang Shenglong. He was born in 1871 and died in 1940, five years before Indonesia's independence. Zhang Shenglong and his son Zhang Tiancong own a company that controls both the spice business and the real estate business. The company name is Tio sing Liong, NV. There are many architectural relics in Zhang Shenglong's house, which are still clearly visible today. One of them is an old house on Jalan Wahid Hasyim, as shown at the beginning of this video. The house even uses illustrated glass doors and windows imported directly from Rotterdam, Netherlands. The legendary cake shop since the Dutch colonial era, Oen shop, also adopted the architecture of Zhang Shenglong. Then there is an abandoned building in the old town of Semarang called Root House. There is also a beautiful restaurant called Good Fellas at the top of Semarang City. The most interesting is the tomb of Zhang Shenglong. This magnificent mausoleum is located on the bustling Jalan Sriwijaya in the city center. At the end of the video, we can see the mausoleum.
