In this video I will be explaining in great detail why the San Antonio Spurs have had one of the Best Offseasons in the NBA in 2024 and could even be a playoff team in the 2025 NBA Season if they want to be! With big additions like Chris Paul, Harrison Barnes and Stephon Castle, this team is serious! With their young players like Victor Wembanyama, Devin Vassell, Keldon Johnson, Jeremy Sochan, Tre Jones and more getting a year better, Coach Gregg Popovich will certainly have a good chance to take this team to the NBA Playoffs or at minimum, a Play-in Tournament! I believe they will be a play-in team...ceiling is a 6th seed. They are built to compete vs. Mavs. The starting 5: VW, Sochan, Barnes, Vassell and CP3 (who with VW will avg a dbl-dbl playing 30mpg). And with a bench like Castle, Johnson, Champagnie, Mamu, Cissoko, they are going to surprise.
They are going to suck AGAIN.
Definetly the spurs are gonna be a winning team, in my opinion as a spurs fan, we got wemby, castle looks promising, vassel and keldon proved themselves in the nba that they can stay in this leauge for a long time, cp3 coming in he doesn’t want to lose and he’s great and cheaper to give some wisdom hopefully to the guys. I think we’re gonna see a team wanting to win and maybe not this year but these next couple years your gonna see a contending team year in year out. Spurs basically just wanted to help demar get to where he wanted because they still have tons of respect for him. But they just got barnes for free. They traded devonte graham to CHA prior for nothing but cash considerations and salary dump but they gave nothing in the bulls kings trade
Based on how much Wemby improved over the course of last season, there is a decent chance that he and CP3 will give fits to a lot of teams. CP3 might feel like playing with Wemby would be a great reason to show up in great shape and ready to play really well. If Castle can play NBA level defense hs first year combined with Barnes the Spurs could be playing a lot of transition offense as well. As young players learning the ropes, both Vassell and Sochan have the potential to do much better this year as well. A winning season would not surprise me so long as Wemby and CP2 stay healthy.

As a spurs fan, Zach Collins is horrible. It was a huge loss when Bassey got injured. The only bright spot for Zach is his passing. He was a cone on defense, his shooting was way too streaky to be dependent on, fixing his hair instead of focusing on the game

He wasn’t that bad. There was just zero defense and passing off the bench and for whatever reason, Collins is the guy that takes all the heat for bench being trash
He had Keldon, Malaki, Doug as his perimeter defenders next to him off the bench lol they made him look bad at the rim cause they couldn’t stay in front of anyone which forced him out of position near the rim or in general

People are underestimating VW's Year 2 and the CP3-Barnes additions. Spurs will still be in the Cooper Flagg lottery b/c they own the Hawks #1 pick and the Hawks will be in the lottery.

Seeing the spurs pick up cp3 and barnes shows that they’re entering a win now mode. Play-in is where I think they land this coming season. Spurs haven’t skipped steps, but this off season showed they’re skipping a step or two, but it was calculated and quality moves. Now it’s just a matter of teaching the young guys what it takes to play 82 games and fight for a chip. The rest will fall into place over time, spurs have a ton of draft assets for flexibility.
Very excited for this season! I think it's a real possibility that CP3 gets traded to a contender right before the deadline for another pick, and the Spurs come out on top again. GO SPURS GO!

As spurs fans, it’s split. Some people want us to tank, others are ready to compete. Personally, I think the spurs will run rotations similar to last year with a few more minutes for Wemby, and let the chips fall where they are.
People get so caught up in the Wemby hype that they forget that the Spurs are trying to develop their other guys as well. Duncan didn’t win all those chips alone. He needed other stars like Robinson, Parker, Ginobili and Leonard and he also needed solid role players like Bowen, Johnson, Diaw, and Green. We need to run these other guys to see what they can become as well.
Victor plays to win. I don't think he would let the spurs tank. That being said I would honestly be happy with 30-35 wins. With the Western conference being so loaded we don't have much of a chance at a real playoff spot.

From a life long Spurs fan great job. I've listened to Rights to Ricky Sanchez to study The Process for about the last year or so to learn what to do/not to do in rebuilding + have listened to Bulls, Hawks, Hornets pods since we have their picks. A nit pick would've liked to hear more about those picks & how we're setup to buy vets or young high potential players whenever we want more than anyone but the Thunder in this rebuild & how we could use those this year/in the next 2-3 years to jumpstart a contender. But anyway great video & go 76ers this is the year you know lick face.

Extremely excited for this upcoming season as a spurs fan, and enjoyed the video. A few notes: We gained a first round pick swap from the Barnes trade rather than gave away. Spurs still have a few more young pieces who have some potential upside in Blake Wesley (entering 3rd year) and Sidy Cissoko (entering 2nd). Also Wemby started centre for the last 50 games or so of the season and was much better there. He will likely stay there to start the season. And last note, watching Zach Collins all year wasn’t enjoyable at all, he had 1 or 2 games which his shot was falling and he scored 25+ points but aside from those few games he doesn’t bring much to the offence. He isn’t great on defence either. He doesn’t have a good shot selection, when he looks to post up he is a solid player but shot hasn’t looked good. He is however an elite passer for his size which is the only thing that is appealing about him from this past season.

I think they will hit at least 40. Between the sochan experiment, the addition of vet players, the bench improvent because of the vet starters, the probable improvement of the young guys and the improvement of the team play in the last 10 games or so.

Keldon has to go or at the very least give up that jersey number... He is the longest tenured member of the team and I just don't think he is panning out. It would be great if we could find a way to ship him off to a better situation for him and for the team I think it would be addition by subtraction...

CP3 has never gone to a new team and had the wins go down. Wemby is no longer on a minutes restriction and will have a proper PG. We can get a top pick by showing the Hawks that even though we are only in year two of building around Wemby, we are further than they are building around Trae Young. I'd even go and say that when we match up against the Hawks, we are going to treat it like a finals game. We will try to demoralize them imo. If they end up in the lottery we can trade the Charlotte pick and the other to move even further up
