It's not surprising. Wemby (and Chet) are quite literally the first of their kind, and I don't just mind tall. I mean basketball ability too. There have been many as tall as Chet / Wemby, but none who could transfer that body to the league, and these two have. It's truly incredible and a unicorn feat.
Wemby is the definition of confidence without ego. The dude believes in his greatness but recognizes that he must carry himself with humility at this point in his career. He's headed towards all-time greatness in the years to come with that attitude.

In good games tho. I went to his Nets game and it was pretty boring outside of that stretch where he hit like three straight threes or something like that.
Man just listening to him talk is so refreshing. He’s so much more thoughtful and introspective than even most veteran players. I really look forward to seeing more of him in the future, as a player and a person. He’s handled all the attention exceedingly well
