There was no defense. Look at Caleb Martin just standing in the paint watching the shot while the Celtics are crashing the boards.

He inbounded the ball, spotted up for 3 and positioned for the offensive board for the game winning shot and he all did it in 3 seconds.

He did a perfect job crashing the board and timing the bounce. And he did this with no opposition in front of him. Only a lagging defender behind him who realized it was too late. Great job not giving up on the play.

this was an incredible once in a lifetime play, you can't fault the defender, because Derrick White has a running start, and moves in an elongated curvature. The defender is still following very close behind, off from blocking the shot by a cuticle.
Initially Derrick sounds like a street corner preacher, until you realize the sky just fell, the bucket dropped, the basket counts, Celtics win.

I'm from Maryland and in Boston right now for memorial day. Friday night the streets were packed and people were everywhere but last night the streets were damn near empty. The whole of Boston must have stayed in to watch the game cause I was amazed at how there was hardly no traffic last night in the city.

he didnt spot up for a three..there was only three seconds left..the first player who got the ball had to shoot it , but yes youre correct he ran in to the hoop too finish it up!! often the inbounding player goes uncovered..amazing play!!!

I feel bad for Miami because even though Butler didn't have the best game, he almost willed them to victory in the last 3 minutes. I actually felt that because of the roll that Butler was on, he should've gotten one of those shots that Duncan Robinson ended up missing (they were open looks). Even if he would've missed, he may have drawn a foul and got points the hard way. I honestly think Boston has too much momentum now to lose this thing!
