I installed mine (plug and play unit) last night, and start to finish it was about 25 minutes - it works perfectly. Here are a few tips to consider: I found it wasn't necessary to unplug the blue connector, just the red and green, which made it easier to relocate the plugs back in the correct locations and one less connector to fiddle with. If you decide to make access easier and remove the glove box (which I recommend), you don't have to remove the kick panel first - when you take the glove box surround panel out, the kick panel will come out with it. Also, I have an SXP, when removing the glove box, attached to the box, there will be two electrical clips to remove, one for the glove box light, and a switch on the side. There is a nice gap up on the right side of the main controller where you can tuck in the Accessorides box and wires.
Chris how did your programming go? I can’t get the initial red then green lights on the module. I’m stuck at the programming part. Made sure red and green connectors are correct and pushed in all the way and the two wires run to the fuse box are connected to the wires. Need help. Not as easy as everyone says.
@@robertbutler3540 I'm not a total expert,, but did you disconnect the negative battery? When I did it the first time I messed up on the initial start up sequence. I just slowly went back through the steps.
@@christopherbarb I did not disconnect the battery. Was I supposed to? I have went back and checked connections and even redid the connections at the fuse box wires.
@@christopherbarb yes all doors are closed. At first I tried programming through passenger side so I could see the module lights then noticed and read comments about doors being closed so then I closed all doors and sat in passenger side then closed doors and sat in driver side. Key fob and push button start works as normal with locking and unlocking. Just can’t get remote start to program or work.
So an update on the Accesorides remote start. I got it for 2020 telluride SX. I installed in about an hour. It was easy, but I worked meticulous and slow. Any dude or dudette can do it. It was also easy to program. I got the OEM remote version with take over. This means I use the original remote, press 3 the lock button 3 times in succession and it starts. It works for me from about 90to 100 yards away. Haven't tested it further yet. It is working perfectly so far. I would recommend 👌 it. Paid $329 with $12.99 for 3 day shipping, got it in 2 days. Definitely a buy for me. The most difficult part of the installation was the splicing on the driver's side and even that was easy. One recommendation I would make is to get a pack of small to medium tie straps. This will make cabling both the box unit on the passenger as well as the two wires from the passenger to the driver side easy. Also, removing the glove box is both easy and quick. Again good product so far. Let's see how it holds up. When you start it remotely, the telluride so quiet. If you are far away, you may not be able to tell its running. You have to look at the DRL at the front, and watch the mirrors that fold out. Its was worth it for me!!
A better video would be helpful. A view of how the actual unit connects, sits and fits. Also, a step by step of the actual programming, starting it from a distance as well as entering vehicle after start would be so appreciated!!
Ok need help. I have successfully interfaced the red and green connectors and the 2 wires to the driver side fuse box. Can’t get it to program. Hitting push start button twice until ignition comes on. No red then green lights on module are coming on. Need help from here.
