THIS! This is what I've most recently discovered. It has improved my game the most since I found out I was squeezing the ball. The unexpected benefits are better and more consistent timing and way better carry than I've ever had. Great relevant video Thomas! P.S. tell those guys on your PBA league to let you bowl on TV more.
Have to say thanks Thomas. I was struggling to break 550 recently, had a 206 avg but took a nose dive. Im a senior who needed a change. I did switch to your hand position and relaxed approach and it just feels so much more natural. Last 3 series. 651, 657 and yes 760. Getting much better accuracy and carry now. TY.
Looking good Thomas! Also your hair is starting to grow that's great you're a handsome devil when your hair is grown.. it gives you power for bowling. 😊
Question Thomas: Do you use white tape on the pad side of your thumb hole to adjust fit? I've been experimenting using a smaller thumb insert without any tape on the pad side, which prevents me from squeezing the ball as much, helping me free up my armswing. Previously, I have been using tape on my pad side. I was curious what most pros do regarding tape in the thumb hole? Thanks, great video.
@@michaelfinley9988 Personally (and I think for most pros) use textured tape on the pad side of the thumb. I do a lot of different things, but I always have at least a few pieces of tape to be able to adjust
@@s0meguy809 Creating a free swing will definitely help with that. But it does take some practice. Try really focusing on just letting the ball fall from the push away. And if you can't get the feeling just exaggerate the push away until you can

@@zedsodead Hopefully a good this 😅
@ThomasLarsenBowling Very good. My game has been stagnant for two years. I'm finally excited for league again. Big fan of your smooth swing.
@@zedsodead Thank you and glad to hear you are back to enjoying bowling! Hope you see some big improvements soon 🙂

@ThomasLarsenBowling no Thomas Let It Grow buddy let it grow haha for the new year
Good view of the release. Do you use force on the forefinger to push or just support the ball on the downswing?

Letting gravity 🤦🏾♂️🤣
Your swing looks higher here. Is that from loosening up your swing?
@@Philycheeze222 It definitely feels higher. I think it comes from that yes
Yeah I'm a beginner and I muscle the ball wayyyy too much and I can't really get my hand in a strong position.

@@ThomasLarsenBowlingYeah after this fall league finishes, I'm going to skip the summer league and just work on my whole game.
Bowling on chopped up conditions tests my ability to make adjustments. 🤔
@@russellgilbert3453 That certainly can be a challenge
