Me too. I use to love OI. I've watched every episode several times. I even had sea 1 on DVD but season 2 was never released. I was so disappointed when it was canceled. Then I fell in love with Orangutan Jungle School but it's looking like it's been canceled after 2 seasons, too. 🤷🏾♂️
I love monkeys. Spider monkeys and marmosets are my favorite. These 2 sweet marmosets that Alison and Jeremy have rescued I feel so bad for them, I hope they conquer all that is wrong with them and live healthy, happy lives. The man that had them, and the other pets, I hope he is never allowed to have any kind of animal for his entire life.

Agreed!! First of all, I DO NOT think anyone should be able to acquire any exotic animal, no matter what it is. With that said, not being able to shut down the illegal pet trade, why would you buy an exotic pet without doing the proper research on their special needs and diet?? If your going to go against the law by getting these pets, at least follow the law of what they need!!! This disgust me!🤬 I hope and pray they can help these two and get them healthy again. You hate to see them terminate the pregnancy, but maybe it could save her to get her back to good health where she can get pregnant again and have healthy babies. Otherwise, she might not make it and then you have another death instead of just the fetuses. It’s a hard decision and I’m glad I don’t have to make it! May they get blessed with the correct decision as to what to do and it works out. 🙏🫶

I love watching these videos. I absolutely adore primates. They are sooo intelligent. Allison and the team has done a wonderful job with the animals there and the ones they have rescued. I would love to visit the park someday, but I have fur babies that I can’t leave.
I don’t understand why people feel they have the right to imprison animals. Dogs and cats make wonderful pets. Primates, reptiles and all other wild animals do not and are not happy in captivity. As humans, we think we own the world. We are destroying it and we are taking all other living creatures out too.
Sadly, you're right. There is no place for humans in the survival of this planet, polluting the air and waterways, poisoning the ground, and taking wild animals for granted.

Monkey World and all it encompasses are just inspiring. How infuriating to see the abuse and mistreatment these wild animals endure because they don't belong as pets. It is hard to understand how the protections that should be in place (children and animals can't defend themselves) can be dismissed by government. In the USA we see this in the number of guns that are rampant in households. Like the pet "trade" the gun "trade" is all about how much money it generates even at the cost and detriment to life.
I’m going to assume you’re talking about the long standing habit of DA’s charge stacking, then dropping gun charges as an enticement for gangsters and criminals to take plea deals as opposed to going to trial.
If not, all I can say is “Those pesky constitutional rights sure are inconvenient.”

The way she explains the marmosets is that only her and her team can care for them. This is not true she said simply all they needed was a proper diet. They need vitamin b so if someone buys these monkeys they need to explain to them at the pet shop that there diets is very important and they need to explain what to feed them the vitamins they need and when to feed them it’s really that simple.

I totally agree with the lady at the end of the video, those little marmosets needed an appropriate diet!!! Today, I watched a video of a little Macaque in China & they put this huge tray of white chocolate, milk chocolate & dark chocolates in front of him. He started packing his cheek pouches absolutely full of chocolates & guess this was appropriate to the people who had him as a pet because they were filled with coconut & other fruit filled. 😲🤨🙄 To me, that's a death ☠️💀 sentence. Most of us know chocolate is toxic to dogs, I don't think it would be any different than a monkey!!! I'm sure he had quite the belly ache with diarrhea!!! Monkeys should never be pets or have a regular diet of candy, cakes or anything of the kind!!! 😳🙄

I do respect Allison for what she’s done for primates. I do not like that she has a stance that primates cannot be pets, because first of all it’s prejudice towards Asians and Africans, who have had monkeys as pets for many many years. Furthermore she makes that statement as she raises several of them herself throughout the year every year. Primates make great pets for those who are willing to give them the time and care and attention that they need. There’s nothing wrong with having one as a pet as long as you can meet its needs.
There are lots of things humans have done for thousands of years that are wrong. Most people do not have the knowledge, time, or resources to properly care for any primates. They are much more complex than dogs or cats- they were never domesticated! Any wild animal should not be a pet. Domesticated animals are fine, people should leave wild animals alone. I don’t care which culture you’re from. Some things are universal

Wow! You should really read the long and wonderful explanation by the founder of the Vervet Monkey Foundation about why primates should never be pets.
It makes no difference whatsoever whether they're pets in Asia and Africa. It makes no difference whether a human can take care of a primate or not.
What matters is that in order for one to become a pet it must be ripped from its family and if small, ripped from its mother, just because a human needs (as they all say) "to give it all my love." If a human needs companionship, as we all do, then the best thing to do is to give a home to a dog or cat as they've been domesticated for millenia.
Primates are not pets, no matter whether selfish humans want them to be or not.
Allison doesn't have pet monkeys. The infants she sometimes has to care for is because it's necessary. She doesn't do it for fun.

Everytime I see Hananya I think about how on monkey business how when he took over the male who ran the the group (I forgot his name Ben is his son) died because they all piled on him and tore him to bits. It’s crazy how it all comes full circle and now he might be losing his spot

I do not think that apes should ever be pets…..
They grow up to be too dangerous. However, a capuchin, squirrel, spider, or macaque monkey are not out of the question to be raised by human beings. They are no more Dangerous than a pitbull
It’s not fair to keep a wild animal as a pet. A pit bull is a domestic dog, a species who h has evolved to coexist with humans for over 10,000 years. Primates are not meant to live with people like cats or dogs are. Everyone needs to leave wild animals alone
Think again, just because they are small does not mean they can be pets. They are primates just like apes and chimps, no matter the size or the intelligence.
