Great that you tried this out....and you worked hard on it without quitting! You always get the art done, even when you feel like you have had enough!...Awesome !!
I'm the same with art supplies and I have these as well, and they are squirrelled away in my drawer lol. I had the intention to use them too but I got into coloured pencil work. I used to love working in charcoal also lol, might get them out and have fun soon.
Really love love love that lion art work that you did with those charcoal pencils I too have the same brand charcoal pencils that I just got yesterday and will be using it soon truly enjoyed watching your video lots of love from India Mumbai 🥰😘❤️
I don’t like that kind of paper either. I find the texture distracting, so the back is better. It does come in a wide variety of colors though. Thanks for the video.
this is a great set for sketching. charcoal can be so fast and fun to get some really fast loose lines down, although you can get quite detailed with just good old black charcoal if you like.Working with just the blacks, you can really explore working with values, since that charcoal allows you to get a huge range of values with just one pencil. having the white pencil means you can create some nice effects on mid-toned paper and i think that is where the most fun is to be had with this set. Grab yourself a few blending stumps and a kneaded eraser and just have a play with it! i bet you'll have some good messy fun :)
I always wanted to know how Mi-Teintes was pronounced and last year I finally found out. I pass this on not as an instruction to pronounce it this way, as unless you're from a French speaking country you'll sound a bit of twonk, but because I found the vast difference between my own guesses and the truth to be very interesting. Anyway it is pronounced: me tont-uh; the middle "t" is soft and the "uh" is a schwa type noise, not a long "urrh," but a short "uh!" sound. Me tont-uh. Surprised? I was.
I couldn’t tell you were struggling, he turned out beautiful!

I usually love this stuff on the smooth side, and I think the moonstone colour is my favourite. This one was just a bad choice today I suppose?
Hey I got this set as a gift, any tips on what kind of drawings I can use it for?

I don't like working on this paper either. I use pastel mat.
I am quite annoyed at how much I love the pastelmat!! It works so well, but costs so much!!!
I thought that your last drawing for 2019 is the other one.........
