"Rocky Jones Space Ranger: Manhunt in Space"
Space Rangers Rocky Jones (Richard Crane) and co-pilot Winky (Scotty Beckett) of the United Planets are assigned to investigate the disappearance of several space ships in the vicinity of Cassa 7, a planet on which the United Planets are attempting to build an outpost. Immediately upon being given the assignment Jones discovers that the ship of fellow Space Ranger Reggie (Ray Montgomery) and friend Vena Ray (Sally Mansfield), who is aboard to visit her brother Paul Ray (Tom Brown) on Cassa 7, have become the latest victims of the mysterious disappearances.

With all the pretentious fodder we're fed with, it's refreshing to watch this show from the days when sci-fi TV was simple and fun.😊
I've seen most episodes of this series, and it's of a better quality than most kids TV programming in its day. Or ours. The details of the stories are generally simplified to get approval from the censors of the day, but these tales are still all well-constructed stuff. There's little wasted dialogue or action. It's very efficient storytelling.

we see a wide flat-screen color TV that has nothing to envy what's in our homes today !
Only the spaceship didn't change much.
SUCCESS!!! It's good to know that while I'm approaching sixty years old and I'm forgetting a lot of information, some things you never forget, or in this case, some faces. The tall bad guy/bearded pirate appearing at 11:13 is the actor Mickey Simpson who is best known to Three Stooges fans as the angry husband in "Gents in a Jam" from 1952!

The manner in which Rocky talks sounds a lot like Hank Kimball from Green Acres.

@5:08 Jud Holdren was the actor who played Captain Video and Commander Cody in the old film serials.
A fine actor known for his dry, dead-pan zero-chemistry delivery.
James Griffith who played Ken has a list of acting credits a mile long. He generally played a bad guy and he no doubt was typecast.
And they only recently started to land rockets vertically. Sci-Fi yesteryear reality today.

Note how the "good girl" is a blonde and the "evil woman" is a brunette, a la Disney cartoons. However, the evil queen whatshername is WAY sexier than the blonde chick!
I find them equally appealing.
