Yes to more fountain pen videos. Favorite part of this video was you singing...it was wonderful! I believe everyone should sing and it doesn't matter if it is good, bad, or somewhere in between like most of us, singing brings joy. So if you ever ride in a car with me, you will be expected to sing along! 🙂
yes! Here for all the FP and Ink vids! For that Syo-ro, you just need to rehydrate it. Since you can see the line of where it was filled to before the water evaporated, just add distilled water back to that level. Since water is the only thing that evaporated, you can just add it back without changing the ink. I've done this on quite a few vinta inks (which notoriously seal poorly).
I still haven’t gone down the fountain pen rabbit hole myself, but you’re making that glass pen look mighty nice 😏 Maybe I’ll look into getting one of those first so I can try some of these beautiful inks with (hopefully) less mess than a fountain pen
You might be able to revive the dried up ink. Ink is basically pigment and water so maybe scraping the pigment from the glass, adding a tiny bit of water at a time and shaking the bottle in between might yield at least a bit of usable ink.
I got a Pilot Metropolitan as my gateway fountain pen. I liked the experience of the fountain pen, but mine always ran wetter and tended to leak unless I stored the pen fully upright (this is using Pilot's inks, too!). It's an extra-fine as well! Then I got a TWSBI eco as my second fountain pen. I love being able to see my ink color inside, I also enjoy the screw cap and how it can really get bumped around without leaking. But it's definitely much drier, even as a fine. I have on-and-off hand and wrist pain, so I love having the choice of the two. I use my Metropolitan at work with plain black or blue-black ink, and I use my TWSBI for myself with fun colors. I've gotten a lot of questions and compliments from coworkers on both pens, and gotten someone else into the world of fountain pens and inks :) Anyways...thank you for taking us through your fountain pen and ink journey!
I’m in love with this swatch book!! I always feel the need to swatch everything because I can never remember what things look like. Thank you for another amazing video Helen ❤️
I avoided your fountain pen videos because I was trying not to fall in the rabbit hole. 😂 But now that I have bought your inks, I need to research pens, ect. I giggled near the end when you mentioned two new inks. The stories were interesting. I have a good friend who lives in Toronto. I'm hoping to visit her one day and go to Wonder Pens. I can't imagine doing math in ink. I had to use a pencil so I could erase.
So many stationary/planner, etc. channels are so fraught and angsty about using these products; thank you for being an oasis of great videos about love and use of these products :)
I think you've sold me on Kosumosu! Helps so much to see not only a swatch, but actual writing (which can look so different). Such a cheerful color! Thanks, Helen!
Love this video , so relaxing for me. I close fountain pens and inks ( planners and inks go hand in hand) but most of all. I love the stories behind your inks, that they have some meaning and memories. ❤
I’m so glad you finally are talking about your inks and your fountain pens because I am infatuated with the Leonardo pen if you could do a little talk about it. Thank you so much. I enjoyed this.
Thanks for this. At the moment I’m using Parker basic fountain pens and Lamy ones mostly with cartridges but I’m interested in moving to more actual inks and I want to try a twisbi so this was really helpful with ideas of where to start
@TheCoffeeMonsterzCo I love all your "room tour "/here's my collection of xyz/chatty story time videos. I would love for you to talk about your pens again some time. Also, you should get yourself a new purple decimo if you miss it. 💜 it's good to be frugal and all that, but you've regretted that pen for years. It's OK to be kind to yourself.
I love love your videos, so relaxing, cute, it's like we're chatting. And yes please more of this videos!! Currently I'm saving so I can buy my very own fountain pen from Lamy, I find this videos very useful for when I get my ink too. 🤩🌸 I really love fountain pens since forever, so happy to know more people that share this interest. 💖🌟
Love this content, Baby Bear! Definitely more if it. A revamped FP collection and the nibs you get and ink pairings would be great along with your FP unicorns and wish list items! 😉 love you!
For syu-ro, the day is still in the bottle. Add in a bit of water back until you get close to the original colour. You can try in a sample vial if you want. This is what I heard from Goulet Pens and have done this with old ink cartridges. Nothing to lose in trying!
I am a new fountain pen user, I have three pens and three inks. I have a Jinhao 9019 and a Jinhao 82 as well as a Hongdian N23. I love my fountain pens!
I love the fountain pen content. I have recently just gotten into fountain pens and I’m still trying to figure out what ink color to buy first. I have gotten a lot of samples. Thank you for sharing your collections and stories!
Yes please to more fountain pen videos. I loved this video very much! It's funny it's your videos particularly the ones with your fountain pens that had me take the plunge and purchase my first TWSBI Eco. Now I can't get enough of fountains and inks. It is one of my favorite hobbies.
Absolutely More fountain pen videos! I attribute my deep dive down the rabbit hole of fountain pens to you because I watched a video where you were swatching your inks and you had Fuyu-Syogun at that time and I FELL in LOVE! Still one of my favorite grey inks! I love how you used the 4 different papers together! I am definitely going to start doing that! Also your singing was amazing!
I know this is super late, but add a touch of dish soap or Vanness White Lightening to your dry inks. It helps a lot to make them wetter, just remember a little bit goes a long way.
Helen, I enjoyed this video so much. Thank you for making it. I'm a fountain pen enthusiast and an ink collector 😶 I would enjoy seeing more of these videos if you are up for making them.
I haven't gone down this rabbit hole yet but I love watching you swatch out your inks. My current obsession are pens - colored ink pens. I have a few videos on my channel. :)
I also disliked noodlers ink, my husband likes it though. My favorite ink is Robert Oster Sydney Lavender. And it has a story! not all of ours do but this ink was one my husband surprised me with for a valentines day. Though thats not why its my favorite. Its my main writing ink and I can't wait to buy more from the brand. The different pages thing was a really cool idea!
Love this video. I purchased all my TWSBI’s from Appelboom pennen. It’s a lovely little store. I have 5 colors of the Atrementis document ink from them. But now I’ve seen the beautiful red I think I have to get that color too 😅
Ooh I like I the look of sailor studio 123, I’ve never came across that one before here in the uk… some others here I’d like to try so thank you for sharing. Kon Peki is also a fave 😁
Love love love that you finally did an ink swatch book. I'm sitting at over 300 inks right now and I want to do an inkcyclopedia. It's just a major undertaking at the moment. Thankfully, I have almost all my inks swatched on colo-ring cards. I also 10000000% agree the pilot metro is horrid! I didn't even buy it first. I wound up giving it away. Happy Sunday to you! I'm so looking forward to my 2 packages for the 5/10 release plus my subs!!
I'm in Toronto, and I have many of the inks you have, also from Wonder Pens. I also have been looking for the perfect yellow, and have the Dominant Industries one in my wishlist at Wonderpens. Maybe this is the day. I have been using a notebook for my swatches, but I'm thinking I will create a retrospective like this. Thanks for a wonderful watch and good luck with the September release. It looks fantastic.
Hi! I have two questions: 1) do you always use a scrap/blotter sheet under your left hand when using all fountain pens or just with dip pens? Can you explain why you use it? 2) do you use the glass dip pen for everyday writing (ie. journaling, planning, list making, etc. ) or just on special projects?
Hi Holly!! 1) No, I only did it because I was swatching so many inks and cleaning in between, so my hands were getting stained. Didn't want it to smear! 2) I do not! Only for swatching!
First of all, Happy MOther's Day to Mama Tater. I loved your stories about your inks. The story about the Oxblood ink evoked an image of the character in the Netflix series Wednesday! I'm surprised you haven't tried Platinum Carbon Black. It's very popular among fountain pen enthusiasts.
I’m definitely interested in the fountain pen world. I’ve tried a few different pens but I love the idea of trying a dip pen so the commitment to a specific ink isn’t a problem. I have a TWSBI but it will seem to be correctly filled and let me write normally and suddenly a blob of ink comes out. This has scared me away a bit. Any information would be appreciated in future content. You have the perfect handwriting for this!
I can do it with a broken heart. I am so productive it’s an art!! I have no interest in fountain pens (my wallet thanks me) but I love watching your videos and how much you clearly adore the pens and inks.
Your videos are very relaxing. Thank you for sharing your collection. I loved the Robert Oster Chicago color. Is it possible to zoom in a little closer to see the colors better next time? If not, no worries. It was enough to give me an idea of what I might like and I can from there dig in more online. 😅
Your oxblood ink purchase was the same day I got married! hehe I only have ink samples right now because I am still testing out fountain pens before committing to my first big purchase! love seeing all these lovely colors - such a fun video :)

Don’t worry. I am not a fan of the Pilot Metropolitan fountain pen or Pilot fountain pens in general. My beef is even if I have the right paper to write on, the nibs always seem so scratchy when I write. I am also not a fan of Lamy’s either. My go to’s are usually TWSBI’s, Sailors (though only have one because they’re so expensive), and Kaweco.
Hi Helen! Lovely video and so useful! What glass dip pen are you using? I like that the tip looks like it writes super fine! The one I have is more of a medium tip but I have small handwriting so I’m looking for a new one ❤
I purchased the Lamy Obsidian after watching your video on it. My bottle of it explodes every time I open it as well. I have used it only once and am ready to toss it too. Just haven't had the heart to yet. I'm on a hunt to get a new bottle for it.
Oh def a lot of fraction since everyone I hear started their journey by seeing your pelikan or leaonardo pens including myself. I just am curious how much of document black have you finished since u use the ink everyday. Anyway, loved seeing your collection & hopefully one day i will get to do something like this on my own.
Since you asked… more fountain pens & inks please! I am currently building my own collection and love seeing all the different colors and pens ☺️💜
Yes! Ditto!
When I do get my twsbi eco I'll definitely have to buy some pilot iroshizuku

100% agree about the Metropolitan. Looks lovely but was disappointing. I tried for ages to love it.
Yeah, same here. The nib was lovely to write with but the pen just felt uncomfortable in my hand.
Love Fountain Pens and your content and stickers around them! I now know what I was missing from my swatch book…using different paper. Brilliant idea!
Aww thank you so so much Cinnamon!!!
I’m in love with this swatch book!! I always feel the need to swatch everything because I can never remember what things look like. Thank you for another amazing video Helen ❤️
Sameee! Hehe thank you for watching!!!
I absolutely love this video. This is an amazing way to swatch inks and have a story behind them. ❤
Thank you Eliza!!!
Love all your fountain pen content! You were right about that rabbit hole!🤣
Awwwwww Helen, you were singing...that was the absolute cutest..made my whole day
What a pretty collection! Happy Cozy Planner Sunday. ❤
Thank you! 🤗 Happy Sunday!!
I'm just getting into fountain pens myself recently so I'm all for more FP content! ✨✨

Love this video , so relaxing for me. I close fountain pens and inks ( planners and inks go hand in hand) but most of all. I love the stories behind your inks, that they have some meaning and memories. ❤
I LOVE your fountain pen content. I have found several ink favorites that I added to my collection through your videos! Keep it coming Helen💕💕💕

Aww I'm glad you enjoy these Diana!!! I hope you get to own a Lamy! They are amazing pens
I too am on the search for perfect yellow! Still no success, but forever searching!
Hahaha let me know when you find it!
I love Rohrer and Kligner 🌻 Sunflower!
I quite like Birmingham Pen Co. Phoenix. Cheery but readable. 🍋
Noodler's Apache Sunset is famous for being one of the best yellows. Light enough to be yellow, but still readable because of the heavy shading.
@@heyambrosia Robert Oster African Gold
All are gorgeous ink, love sailor and dominant industry inks. Thanks for sharing Helen ❤
Thanks for watching Rosalinnnn!
I love fountain pens and inks! I liked your recommendations as well! Great job! I also have noodlers Lexington grey and love it!
your voice is so lovely and soothing! beautiful ASMR, informative, interesting and relaxing.
aw thank you, and thank you for watching!!
Thanks for switching all of your inks! I love your selection of inks. I vote for more FP content 😊

Another Fountain Pen Ink video! This waterman intense black pen is so amazing to use.
Thank you for watching!!
I find this so interesting because the Pilot Metropolitan is near the top of my list of favorite pens.
Yeah! I know a lot of people love it. Maybe I got a dud :(
Helen, I enjoyed this video so much. Thank you for making it. I'm a fountain pen enthusiast and an ink collector 😶 I would enjoy seeing more of these videos if you are up for making them.
Thank you so mcuh Marisa!!! Will do
Recently ordered Earl Gray by Diamine and a Twisbi eco! So excited! Lovely swatches, Helen. It was so therapeutic watching you write 🤤
Thank you Charleen!!! It's a gorgeous ink!

It's super cool!!! And yess love Kon Peki ^_^
For your evaporated ink bottle... just add water. ;)

Aww thank you Sherry!!! Wishing you a great Sunday! I have heard a lot of great things about Carbon black!
You've inspired me to buy inks and refillable fountain pens 😶🌫️
Tus videos son un deleite para mí vista y oídos!! Gracias ❤ me encantan

I loved this, Helen! I was wondering, since you've been using your Leonardo with the DeAtramentis black so much, (both of which are now on my wish list, LOL) do you still keep others inked up? And what do you use them for besides your Cousin? I'd definitely love more fountain pen / ink content. Especially with cute doodles. What could be better?
I definitely do!!! I use the leo + docu black combo for every day writing, and other pens + colours for studying!
I loved colorful inks (catriges) when I was in school. I bought a fountain pen a while ago and I have to say those bottled inks are so much more interesting. Thanks for introducing me to fountain pens and inks.
Helen didn‘t you also have inks from Ferris Wheel Press?
Why not a tour of your fountain pens collection ? I would love it ! Thanks !
love this vid from you!
Glad you enjoyed it Rachel!!
