My 9-year-old son and I on marketing/branding: “Mama, are you listening to the Coffee Monsterz RUclipsr again?” “Yes, baby” … pause … “She makes stationery things?” … “Yes.”… “I think she should call her channel Sleepytime Tea Monsterz Co.” … “Why?!” “Her voice is so comfy. It’d be more on brand.” 😂 xox Bettina
Yep it's very soothing, I like it too, but she shouldn't be talking like this for long periods of time, because whispering strains the vocal chords and in the long run can cause damage. So please be mindful of that, and take care of yourself. Apples are very good for the throat health.
I love the idea of the three levels of routines. With a chronic illness, I either do 100% or none at all. I will have to challenge myself into creating something similar to help. That black highlighter & white pen combo is so cool!
Yes, I agree with the three levels of routine benefiting me, too. I have several chronic illnesses and use to be so strong and independent. Last year and in the spring this year, I almost died. Was in the hospital several weeks and then had to go to a rehab center for another month or longer. Not back to normal energy level or endurance. 60 + years old and it’s going to take a long time to recover back to some normalcy. Love your posts, Helen Wang and hope to start journaling again soon. Thanks so much! ❤
That recipe book is genius! And I love the little stars for the days you weren't able to hit your step goals (you were working your butt off!). Very mindful, very self-kind. 😘
Love the planner update. While watching this, it made me think of another sticker suggestion. Kinda like the No time to write sticker, but it would say I can't remember what happened on this day. Sometimes, I struggle to write on my planner and when I try to remember what happened so I can back plan, I've forgotten what happened on that day so it's blank LOL. Can't wait for the new stickers coming out next week.
Big brains ideia right here!! Or should I say blank brains ideia... 😂😂 just kidding. It happens to me more than often, that's why I try and take small breaks during the day to take notes.
OMG, Helen. So much awesome content in this video. I LOVE the repurposed A6 techo @7:25. 😍 Soooo clever and so cute! I’m still using my perpetual/running to do list in my $5 hardcover journal from Amazon, and it’s working out for me so well. I was inspired to start the list/journal from one of your videos. 🥰
Still in disbelief that we met.... best day ever! Hearing you mention me and seeing my name in your planner... I'm seriously SO honoured. Cannot wait to see you again ❤ tentative coffee date sometime in 2025, right? 👀
Happy Cozy Planner Sunday! I've been so busy lately that I didn't get to my monthly planner setup until today. Watched and listened to this. Made for cozy times, that and my vegan pumpkin spice tea latte. ❤
Always love seeing your pages! A few thoughts: 1. I had such a wonderful time at your workshop and seeing you again!! 2. I also get book recommendations from Lauren 😄 3. I LOVE my sunlight alarm clock!! A much gentler way to wake up (though I always set my phone as a backup still 🤫😴)
I have a sample of the Mountain washi. My friend Sam sent it to me. Her husband bought it for her in Japan. It feels like cloth. ❤ There is so much going on in November! I'm trying to focus on the Nov. 9th sale and ignore the news. Worrying and stressing about the election made me physically ill. Your Sunday videos are calming. I needed it. ❤
Ordering from new to me restaurants is difficult for me. I'm always looking up menus online and deciding what to order ahead of time. I can totally relate to your deli counter story. I'm happy you did it. Anxiety sucks so much. ❤
I LOVED! THIS!!! SO MUCH! I freaking love that you are so genuine when you make mistakes or dont do a page. I'm getting better at it but its hard! Thank you for helping. I am VERY excited about the Wonderpen washis coming to the shop. I got so many good ideas watching this flip! Thank you for sharing xoxo
Helen, you are always an inspiration. I love your Hobonichi. You make it look so cheerful and fun! I too write in my Hobonichi every single day. It centers me for the day to write in the morning. Thank you for a great video! ❤❤❤
@@TheCoffeeMonsterzCo Happy Sunday to you too! I also rehearse my small talk, in fact I was rehearsing this comment, so yeah. Most often I rehearse what I am going to say at the Deli counter, especially as I have to do that in my second language and I have to rehearse it with them saying different phrases back to me 😆 Anyway, love your spreads and cannot wait for the weekly tracker and quote stickers next week!
I just finished reading Feminism Is for Everybody. I second Lauren! It is an excellent introduction to feminist theory. I hope you find it insightful, and share your thoughts on it in the future. 😇
Oooh I have so much to say! First, I am SOOO loving the b&w spreads using the black Stabilo!!! Definitely going try it! Second, I'm loving everything you posted, all of the spreads😊 Third, OMG!!! The Recipe Organizer!!!! I'm so in love with it!!!! So perfect in that planner! Lastly, how was the roasted dandelion tea??? Sounds intriguing! Dandelion is good for pain among other things, and it might help my fibro. I might have to look for it, if you liked it. Much love!! TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF!!!❤
@@TheCoffeeMonsterzCo I don't know if they still do. I can send you my unused one if you would like it. BTW, Moleskine paper isn't fountain pen friendly, despite the fact that it's been around for ages and many writers and artists used it. That said, the company closed and was bought by someone else, so maybe they changed the paper.
Could you tell us more about the markers you swatched with your friend on the 25th? I noticed when you flipped that there was no bleed through, so would be interested to know more about what they were.
I had to pause when I saw your entry about the New Yorker Article ("The Itch"), because I read the article like two months ago, and then I told my partner about it like a month ago, and now a month later, it's showing up in my life again?? LOL!
Bwahaha…love love your little recipe book. Thinking of getting my mom’s recipes translated and into an updated one. A project for my retirement. Maybe get your mom & dad’s help and we put together a recipe book to publish! A pipe dream or not?! And the “rotting in bed” doodle really resonated with me! 😅need a vinyl Baby Bear.
Another fantastic sunday video! Thank you for taking your time to share these with us. Quick question, the m-s dot stickers (washi) that you are going to be selling on the 9th.. are those in a strip all attached or is it each an individual dot so you can place whichever dot you want wherever you want?
Love your doodles. Do you consider doing a practice book for people who think can't draw? Me included on that group. I feel blocked to even start trying. ^^'
Another great video! You’ve inspired me to compile my recipes too! About the swimming..do they offer adult swimming lessons where you go to swim? I took a few to work on my technique because i wanted to do mini triathlons. It helped a lot. Have a great week Helen! 🧡 🧡🧡
Hi Helen, I just wanted to share a few books I enjoyed that have somewhat similar subject matter to a few books you read. I too have sisters, and two books I enjoyed are The Poisonwood Bible by Barbra Kingsglover and The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennet. In my opinion, they are both about how, biological siblings make different choices etched by social, religious and political constraints/advantages. My recent feminist favorite is Bad Feminist by Roxanne Gay. I do believe Lauren likes and recommends Bad Feminist as well.
