I definitely think Cross Country ought to couple their Voyagers together like that. Although don't know if they have enough rolling stock to do that. Their trains are always overcrowded though
We get a few coupled voyagers in Leeds on the Crosscountry route. We don’t get as many as I’d like to see seeing as I’ve occasionally got to commute down to Wakefield for work, but any is better than none to alleviate overcrowding, especially with COVID and a slightly increased footfall from more people now going out and going on staycations.
I’ve been meaning to go over to Crewe to see the trains over there, I’ll probably only get chance once all the lockdown restrictions are removed and it becomes safer to travel.
Maybe now our electrification is live we might get some decent stock....TFW loathe to lose revenue putting the trains into paintshop....TFW should get some 350`s...for the Manc picc \crewe runs etc personally I would buy 222`s for the mid distance routes. seen 66221 a lot recently...busy loco on track maintenance \ laying duty

Well Avanti are replacing their voyagers by 2022 and those voyages will most likely end up at Crosscountry so they can make their trains longer.
