I like how nice of that 6.4 Powerstroke. I like the 09-10 with a 6.4 Powerstroke is a least problematic engine. It wasn't rebuildable, It's going cost a lot of cash to fix that. Dont get me wrong! The 6.4 Powerstroke is a thrown away.
I have a 2008 f450 KR 305xxx miles original everything deleted at 100,000 miles. Best truck I’ve ever owned. Pedal has never seen the floor and has been daily driven. Has 15600 engine hours so do the math and that is impressive
136K deleted at 115K diverted the Blow by 1" line at 135K guess we will see. PS this is now Dec.23/23. I would call my truck low mileage vehicle. Had to replace the front plate my screw up. Didn't replace the coolant with Motor Master plus the additive. That could have been a catastrophic disaster.
Hey brother I have a question… what’s your recommendation on horse power??? I have a 7.3 with a hydra chip s&b intake. How much horse power is too much horse power??? I was thinking about putting 140hp but my injectors are stock… I was wondering would I end blowing my motor? my bad for the long paragraph thanks in advance I’m a 21 year old fixing up my 7.3 like yours 💪
@@powerstrokecentral it has 230k miles on it.. straight piped with wicked wheel2, rebuilt turbo, new up pipes. So I’m wondering would 140hp mess with anything?
I personally have a 08 6.4 deleted tuned cold air intake fass fuel pump stage 1 cam ,stage 1 injectors stage 1 turbo stage 3 transmission 450,000 miles 900 HP if you get a diesel truck their a money pit they all come restricted from factory gotta pay to get some play 😉
Unfortunately the 6.4L’s are throw away engines. Once it blows up (usually around 150K), just drop a cummins in it. All sensors for the 7.3L should be motorcraft only. The cheap auto part store ones either don’t work at all or don’t last very long.
@@professor_thunder, not from what i’ve experienced. Almost every one i’ve worked on in the past 5 years or so have been catastrophic failure needing a new engine or cummins swap. Great power don’t get me wrong, especially with that 300hp tune. But you need to delete all the emissions equipment off of it from day one as soon as it rolls off the lot.
@@JLCmike4014 I built 6'4s for years as pulling trucks and most can be rebuilt like anything else. It's sticker shock (to some) but they're not "throwaway engines". They're are certainly not a broke mans best option but put together right - with the right parts are as good as anything else. Cheers
@@professor_thunder, built yes they can be good engines. But what comes through my shop is always someone either racing the piss out of a stock bottom end engine or it’s someone pulling way too heavy and high EGTs melt down the engine. Seen far too many kick rods out the block.

Pretty sure that’s why he’s getting rid of it
@@powerstrokecentral or he can pull the 6.4 out of the truck and swapped a Cummins engine or something. 🤔🤔🤔🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
6.4 was junk... hence the fact ford only used that piece of crap 3 yrs... 7.3 or 6.7.. both million mile motors when properly maintained
People rebuild them every day.

Nice brotha I would definitely put those injectors in it’s what I’m doing next on mine. How many miles you have on it?

My 6.4 pings in the summer if i use synthetic oil. When i use conventional 15w40 rotella no more pings
Hey man where did you film this video at??
Texas lol would rather not give specific details
@@powerstrokecentral no I gotcha. I live in central Texas and saw one of our company vans go by in your video. Wondering if we were close

H&s tuned/ kem tuned 6.4 would have walked that slow 7.3. 6.4s are the fasted tuned delete truck out there. 6.7s can’t keep up
until you blow the heads. the 6.4L was the WORST of the powerstroke for a reason. thats why its called a cannon fodder engine.
great vid!!!
Thanks brotha
Dude in the 6.4 definitely has issues with the engine rn 😂 just with how slow it is and how it sounded after it passed the camera
it would still gap that 7.3 if it had tune
My 6.4 would have put the 7.3 to shame take off wise
Anything puts the 7.3 to shame ...7.3 only had reliability. Its slow as ever!! Regardless what you do to it. 😂
Bro find a v10 owner with a souped up one that would be a nice comparison!
Should hmu up when you get to Montana or if you do come up this way I'll race ya in my 6.0 and 7.3 would be lot of fun

11-14 the 6.7 had the turbo failure but 15 and up the 6.7s are pretty reliable I would say if you delete them and do the cp4 disaster kit
Doesn't follow Kaizen philosophy 🤡

I have a 7.3 for sale up here in Colorado if Interested man
Not rn man maybe if mine explodes lol
3:03 you don't say😂
Like how he said 3 2 1 and was already on peddel while saying 1 .... 6.4 always wastes any other when stock..lame
I raced my brother in his 6.0 in 140 hp and I bent my number 2 rod😅
Yeesh hope it doesn’t happen to mine
Thought 6.4 was fast ?
it is just that one is bone stock
It is way faster. That one has a stock tune.
It needs a little higher idle on the lift off I would have been at 1100 + 😂😂
Ford should refund anyone who purchased a dix.4 new and still owns it…
second
“Powerstroke central”, dude knows nothing about them 😂😂
