I have something interesting. YUM owns Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, KFC and Wingstreet. Then I looked up investors. You go through one company after another. George Soros name came up. The only point is the average person isn't aware of who's wealth they're contributing to.
I don't eat at Pizza Hut anymore (I'm a Papa Murphy's guy), but I'll always have fond memories of their Book It program. I felt so proud every time I got a personal pan pizza for reading enough books. They may not have the best pizza, but any organization that promotes literacy by giving away free pizza is doing something right.
A kid actually stole mine in 5th grade and the teacher didnt believe me cause I was fat. I beat the shit out of the kid until he gave it back. It was worth a referral for free small 2 inch pizza.
Pizza Hut's quality really depends on the particular location as well as the staff currently working. Their overall quality as tanked in the last decade.
I miss the restaurant buildings that were actual "huts". Those low lit dinning rooms and juke boxes are the stuff of legend in any 80's/90's kids memories. I also worked as a delivery driver in 2005. Pizza Hut was a great place to work and the only place I ever worked where people worked as a team.
I miss them too. They smelled so good when you walked in! My memories of those go back to the mid-1960's though. They made one kind of crust, thin and crispy and it was excellent, hot and fresh out of the oven. No delivery back then, they were always pretty busy and open late too.
And why did I need to know all of this before I eat at Pizza Hut again? I thought it was going to be something important! Ahhhhh... the world of click bait...awesome
My wife and I shared our first meal together (the same day we got engaged) in a Pizza Hut that was located right on the beach, on the U.S. gulf coast. A few years later that restaurant's building was totally destroyed by Hurricane Katrina, and was seen on one of the first post storm live shots on a cable news channel - where we saw it again...
steven rubio They're not open late though. A lot of people get pizza cravings late at night after drinking (especially young people, who can afford to eat it).
Before the recent "Kale is a Superfood" craze, Pizza Hut was the #1 buyer of Kale! They used it exclusively as garnish for their salad bars and buffets.
Pizza Hut was my favorite chain pizza store for more than 20 years, until one day I found a small piece of metal in my pizza. It was a small shaft of metal about 1 cm long and about a millimeter thick. I took the pizza back and they did refund my money, but I also requested the manager to follow up and contact me. They never contacted me, even after repeated requests. I was summarily ignored by their corporate offices. I never wanted to file a lawsuit, or benifit in any way from this incident. I am a quality control chemist and my thinking was that I should share my experience with their organisation, then they might be able to make their product better. But sadly no, pizza hut has no program or interest in making their product better. In my opinion any company can have a mistake, it is how they respond to a mistake that tells you what their philosophy of management is. Good companies try to fix problems, or at the very least they acknowledge mistakes and try to fix them. This is not Pizza hut. They have lost me as a customer forever, and I was one of their best customers.
pizza hut has definitely changed, the food isn't as good as it was 15 years ago. The buffet has changed, you use to be able to get whatever you wanted now there's someone who puts the food on your plate for you and you can only eat 1 slice at a time. you can't just eat whatever, yes this is actually true at my pizza hut, and they use alot of cheese? where? because when I order from there the cheese is scarce. this is why I just eat at my local pizza place.
80s kid here and we had Pizza Hut every weekend the pizza guy said he held the local record for amount of pizzas delivered to our house. That pizza shooter at comic con is so rad I had the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turlte toy that shot pizzas it was Awesome!ha
I worked at a pizza place for a bit. You'd be surprised how often people still call in to order. Granted, almost all of the callers are 40+. Everyone else just orders online or in the store.
I don't like Pizza Hut. 300 million pounds of cheese and 700 million pounds of pepperoni? What about the 850 million gallons of grease that seems to be on just one pizza?
There is a Pizza Hut in the front of my addition and if the wind blows just right my front yard is crop dusted with the buttery garlic fragrance Pizza Hut emits. It’s glorious.
Here's something important to know. When you order for a later time on line, they do not let the location that is making your order know about it until 20 minutes before you plan to pick it up. So, if you are planing to pick up during a peak time, it will always be late. What's the point of ordering an hour early so its on time, when they don't pass the order on???
Here's something you're not going to tell people, at least in the United States Pizza Hut has over twice as much grease as the next national brand, Ergo, one out of nine people who eat Pizza Hut get explosive diarrhea after they eat it.
Used to like their stuffed crust. Maybe I've just had bad luck but the last two times I've gotten a stuffed crust pizza(from different locations) it has been dry with not enough sauce. My girlfriend says I should get extra sauce like she does, but I don't think I should have to order extra sauce just for it to not be dry.
i understand that you shouldn't have to order extra sauce on the pizza for it not to be dry but since extra sauce is not a extra charge, i don't understand why you just dont do it.... that is like saying you dont get enough fries in your medium fry order but a upgrade to a large is free and you are saying, i shouldnt have to order a large to get my extra fries.... seems like a ego or a petty thing to me that is if you actually don't do it since you didn't actually specify if you did or didnt do this in the future.
Little Caesar's isn't even at the bottom anymore lol. The worst pizza is easily Papa John's, then Domino's, then Little Caesar's or Pizza Hut. Round Table is the king of chain pizzas. You'd be better off finding a quality local pizza parlor in all cases though.
I worked for the company franchise for 19 years and seen highs and lows it was ok company til new millennium after that wasn't fun could tell you anything you'd like know Pizza Hut
Many years ago, there was a knock on the door. The pizza delivery guy asked for a specific amount of money. I had not ordered a 🍕, but my husband at that time was entertaining a couple of his guy friends, so I figured that I would just pay up front, and settle who owed who (if at all) later. In my best hostess voice, I interrupted the guys’ conversation with “Pizza”s here!” Plus, I brought in napkins, plates, fork, etc. They all look at each other with stricken expressions. They shrugged 🤷♂️, their mouths were agape. ‘I didn’t order any pizza....did YOU order pizza?” Nope. No one at my house had ordered pizza! Yet, I had paid and tipped the delivery guy who was long gone! Sometimes random GOOD thing happen!! 😀
The "brazilian crust poppers" was not invented nor exclusive to Brazil. It was part of the 2014 Ninja Turtles movie tie-in and was sold almost world wide, including the US. It might be more interesting to note the cost and wages many American franchises (dominos, subway, McDs, etc) have in foreign countries. A medium pepperoni from the Hut in Brazil is gonna run about $30 while the minimum wage employees make around $250 a MONTH. It's pretty sad to see a McDonald's or Dominos employee who can't even afford to eat the food they serve.
Every time I see Pizza Hut I imagine every Italian facepalming to the worst bastardisation of one of their greatest foods. Even frozen pizza has more herbs and spices on it.
I Wish PH would make a take home kit for the grocery stores in extreme rural areas. I Live in a far Northern part of Maine where it's a 3 hour drive to the closest store. I Haven't had a PH pizza in over 4 years...Sad.
What a load of BS. At 3:11 : "The company goes through 300 million pounds of cheese every year, which means that 3% of the total cheese in production in the world is bought by Pizza Hut." 300 million pounds = 136 million kg = 136,000 (metric) tons. That's 3% of 4.5 million tons. But the total world production of cheese from whole cow milk in the world in 2014 was 18.7 tons. (Source: FAO, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the U.N.). And that isn't even taking into account the other types of milk. It is not even 3% of the annual production in the U.S. (5.4 tonnes according to FAO, again only whole cow milk). It took me less than a minute to fact check what was obviously a gross exaggeration. Why don't the Mashed people do such basic fact checking?
OK, I did my own calculations based on publicly available FAO data for 2014 to include also skimmed cow milk, and goat, buffalo and sheep milk. The total increases to 22.9 million tonnes. So Pizza Hut actually consumed less than 0.6% of the total world's production in 2014. Facts matter. Truth matters.
The last time I ordered from Pizza Hut, I got a Super Supreme Pan Pizza. The grease they used on the pan was dripping off the crust and was all I could taste. I've never been back and will NEVER go back.
Honestly, if other pizza chains had stuffed crust pizza, I probably wouldn't bother with Pizza Hut ever again. Everything BUT the stuffed crust is pretty crappy, but that stuffed crust is just soooo good.
I mostly would eat their chicken pizza with stuffed crust and would eat 2 items in the dessert menu which includes the raspberry cheesecake and Hershey's cookies I also like their huge glasses that they use to serve drinks
Don't mind watching a Pizza Hut ad but it should at least be filled with actual facts! Pizza Hut might be buying the cheese but they sure aren't wasting it on any pizza I've had in years! I buy my pizza from my local grocery store because its fresh, delicious, real ingredients, and oh yeah that real cheese actually melts and tastes great! Oh, and I don't have to pay for X-tra to get what I should have had in the first place!
Healthier ? My ass they put 2 big ole scoops of gmo vegetable oil in the pans before the frozen dough goes on nothing healthy in them pizzerias what’s so ever
I live in the Chicago area, so there are many, many better options than Pizza Hut. But I imagine there are places in this country where Pizza Hut is just about the best available.
What's the best pizza place in your opinion?
Pizza hut
Rosati's
Pizza Hut
Of large pizza chain restaurants: Pizza Hut
Otherwise, my local pizzeria is best.
Ever tried Momma's Boy?
Yes I definitely needed to know that they once partnered with sony before eating at pizza huta again.
You didn’t know you needed to know it, you did, and you do.
tyson mccorkle yeah you needed to do that
Sony is a vile disgusting company. Right in line with the horrendous Japanese culture
Lol!
Zero Cool and Introvert Kitty, stop littering my comment section with your weeb shit, you two.
I regret clicking on this video. It tells me nothing I’m interested in hearing
Yep
what were you expecting? chaos? lol

It's a Mashed video. You should have known
I miss the old-school Pizza Huts with the red roof and salad bar.
Gr8 Gazooo Same
Yes Same I miss the old Pizza Huts it was special to go in the 80s or 90s. I miss the brick work salad bar and the red curtains in the window😀
We still have the salad bar in the UAE.
Our pizza hut still has all of that ;)
My town still had them till 2016
NONE OF THIS IS NEGATIVE. SO FEEL FREE TO EAT PIZZA HUT.
Tony Samson so ironic
Based pizza hut poster.

Book-It program. Fuck, I feel old.
@@nickolascrousillat4265 😂
Lol when i was in 1st grade we had that at school and i didnt read any books but still got pizza
I think they have a similar program still I think they just donate money to a book thing
So this is basically a list of trivia named to sound like a warning of controversy.
Pizza Hut's quality really depends on the particular location as well as the staff currently working. Their overall quality as tanked in the last decade.
Haven’t been in over a decade. You’re saying the quality is even worse now? 🤢

I work for Pizza Hut in Texas & I gotta say greedy ass franchise
John Jr Gonzalez u should put more sauce on your pizzas
John Jr Gonzalez boy if I see you I expect more pepperoni
John Jr Gonzalez why does your pizza fucking suck
My wife and I shared our first meal together (the same day we got engaged) in a Pizza Hut that was located right on the beach, on the U.S. gulf coast. if you don't like Fresh ingredients this is your place, every thing comes in Plastic bags and the dough is frozen then thawed, I worked at one.
i work there and literally people are always calling to order
Just find a local mom and pop pizza shop! They make it fresh 💪
steven rubio They're not open late though. A lot of people get pizza cravings late at night after drinking (especially young people, who can afford to eat it).

Poutine pizza? This just might be the most Canadian thing I've ever seen in my life. God bless you Pizza Hut, you magnificent bastards.
It's pretty good too

POUTINE PIZZA!? You Canucks just can't stop ruining pizza can you?
underclas Poutine Pizza is seriously good. Add some beef to it. Then god damn.
@@underclas I know its Canadian but doesnt fries and gravy on pizza sound very american?
Yes it does and that's why we ruined pizza with the good awful "cheeseburger" pizza
It actually looked really good.

I had that toy too, frickin loved that thing.
Pizza Hut went to crap in the states when they 1st started that any pizza for $10 deal a few years ago.
Eating pizza hut feels like getting dumped in a pool of cold cheese and then being assaulted by tasteless pepperoni
Up until the mid 90's pizza hut was good, i used to get barbeque chicken pizza, now they suck!
The quality has gone to hell. I either order from a local pizzeria or Godfathers. Domino's sucks too.
Pizza hut should know I can't poop for days after eating their pizza
I worked at a pizza place for a bit. You'd be surprised how often people still call in to order. Granted, almost all of the callers are 40+. Everyone else just orders online or in the store.
I remember Pizza Inn and Pizza Hut here in Texas. I didn't consider one better than the other, but Pizza Hut survives while Pizza Inn is long gone.
I used to work at Pizza Hut 21 years ago. As a joke, we made a pepperoni stuffed crust, insider, twisted crust, New Yorker pizza. It was a long night!
I don't like Pizza Hut. 300 million pounds of cheese and 700 million pounds of pepperoni? What about the 850 million gallons of grease that seems to be on just one pizza?
The irony that these American restaurants do *way* better international than they do in their home country. It's sad.
There is a Pizza Hut in the front of my addition and if the wind blows just right my front yard is crop dusted with the buttery garlic fragrance Pizza Hut emits.
It’s glorious.
I got a dominos ad before this
*WARNING* - do not watch this while you are hungry.
When I worked at Pizza Hut as a delivery driver, they would never wash their hands when they were coming out of the bathroom.
Sounds like a personal store problem, at my store hands were always being washed
@Tony Samson abeline
The Doritos pizza sucked. It was only for a few weeks(at least in my city). And it would be cheaper to buy a pack of Doritos and use it in a Pizza.
Rabeet Ahsan yes, or I would just use the Doritos to make nachos.
and Nestle
Moved a year ago and they do not deliver here yet there is a pizza hut .5 miles from where I live.
How the hell are they that popular??? They must be the worst of franchise pizza. I'll never eat them again...

Looked on the UK site expecting it to be something amazing after this advert. But nope, much less choice at highly inflated prices
They are at least down at the bottom with Little Caesars but twice the cost. Nice try with the commercial

Pizza Hut was the first pizza franchisee on Guam. It was strange to see that roof there
Whenever I order from Pizza Hut, the pizza always is destroyed and messy looking every time I think Pizza Hut sucks.
The best thing about Pizza Hut is stuffed crust. Really wish other places would do it

Mass produced, Papa Johns even though the sauce is a little too sweet. Usually order from mom & pop pizza shops.
Wish I had a mid 90's pizza Hut pepperoni pan pizza with the table in the middle.
Here watching as Dominos employee. I still prefer Pizza Hut, and if I didn't have a discount, I'd eat there instead.
Chicken and cranberry pizza. Yes, please!
Why does it say 10 things to know before you eat again? Nothing in the video talks about this
Remember when it used to be good in the 80s and 90s?
I remember when the first time settle my life USA and my neighbor take me to pizza hut in 2006. It was good, the buffalo wings too.
The hotdog crust and the cheesy pop crust were both in America too.
is that rebecca felgate.
sorry if i messed up the spelling
Frickin Chinese Pizza Hut is fancy. They sell Peking duck pizza, clam chowder, crawfish, smoothies, wings, and more
I miss the OLD personal pan deep dish pizza I used to get for Book It
I don’t think cranberries sound too appealing on a pizza 🍕 😆
The Book It program encouraged me to read
This is real. It's called Pizza Butt, it lasts for 24-48 hours usually
Watching this while eating pizza hut... let's goooo!
Pizza hut. 👍
Number one.
In the UK pizza hut continuously cut costs whilst I worked there over a period of about six years. Used to be so good, now it's just meh.
Note: the poutine pizza is only available in Quebec wich is a Canada province cuz there is poutine ONLY Quebec
Poutine's not only in Quebec. It's not even only in Canada, just mostly in Canada.
Poutine and pizza sounds awesome right now
I mostly would eat their chicken pizza with stuffed crust and would eat 2 items in the dessert menu which includes the raspberry cheesecake and Hershey's cookies I also like their huge glasses that they use to serve drinks
The Brazilian pizza called the Pizza Pop is sold in the United States as “Cheesy Bites”, don’t know why they failed to mention that?
I love Pizza hut! Its a tasty experience! Love it!!
Oh man. I remember I had the pizza launcher toy. Little plastic pizzas!
Frozen dough 😨
Don't mind watching a Pizza Hut ad but it should at least be filled with actual facts! Pizza Hut might be buying the cheese but they sure aren't wasting it on any pizza I've had in years! Never had Pizza Hut in my life
I'm sorry to say I've had frozen pizza better then Pizza Hut. Now Red Savoy's, Davannis and Papa Murphy's now your talking.
I don’t order often but it’s healthier than other pizzas and it tastes pretty good. I love the crust!
Healthier ? My ass they put 2 big ole scoops of gmo vegetable oil in the pans before the frozen dough goes on nothing healthy in them pizzerias what’s so ever
nobody in Canada orders the potine pizza, it's mushrooms green pepper pepperoni and double cheese !
Can't forget their sponsorship in Code Geass with C.C. eating it any time she could.
Honestly I thought the were actually gonna mention how Pizza Hut is also in an anime, code geass if you were wondering. You're welcome mashed.
I don't like the the taste of their pizza sauce, therefore I don't like the entire pizza.
First up is that Rebecca Felgate second chicken cranberry is fantastic you need to try it
i had a Pizza Hut commercial during this. Wow
Now I want re-create the New-Zealand Chicken + cranberry pizza sounds interesting and tasty.
I live in the Chicago area, so there are many, many better options than Pizza Hut. But I imagine there are places in this country where Pizza Hut is just about the best available.
3:34 that scene from The Pursuit of Happyness had me 💀💀💀💀
I never ordered from Pizza Hut.
I’ve never ate Pizza Hut, papa johns, little ceasers, cicis pizza, marcos, only dominos and Costco and frozen pizza
