If you are using Drum Machine Designer it should automatically add the name of the sample pad to each note in the piano roll editor. I don't believe there is an option to hide or show it. It also works with Quick Sampler when in Slice mode. Each slice name will be shown in piano roll. Any other instruments is just going to show you pitch names and octave numbers.

That's great, thank you. How do you remove the forced legato or overlap adjustment if you decide later that you don't want it?
Does anybody know how to put the instrument names on the piano roll like he does @ 8:00 for the drum instruments?
