    Very good review and well done video. The quality of the videography and editing is outstanding and a lot better than many of the super popular shooting channels.

    Is the scope first or second focal plane? Does changing magnification not effect poi?

    In England and Wales there is no specific legislation prohibiting the use of any optics. So, an image intensifying (night vision or thermal) scope can legally be used to shoot deer in daylight.
    The law in Scotland is different. It states that the use of light-intensifying, heat sensitive or other special sighting devices is not permitted under Section 5 of the Deer (Firearms etc.) (Scotland) Order 1985. This refers to both day and night-time usage of such optics.

      That is absolutely correct, we are fully aware of the legislation.

    What scope magnification are you able to comfortably use with these scopes? I have FFP scopes at 4-18x44 & 6-24x50?

    • @TheNightVisionShow
      @TheNightVisionShow  2 года назад +1

      So we spoke to Kev at Zeiss and he told us "I was comfortable using it from the lowest mag on the scope I was using (2.8) up to around 8 power. I’d say 1.5 - 8. But I can’t see it being “uncomfortable” at 12x, though field is view would be quite narrow at closer ranges"

    nice video great expanation however a 3 second clip through the scope looking at thermal footage in the whole 25 minutes isnt really a great selling point, all these new thermals have video recording ability would be nice to see some footage rather than just the say so 🤷‍♂

      The DTC doesnt have on board video capture capability, so its not easy to show this on RUclips.

    What is your experience using the DTC as handheld. Other brands like Infiray Mate MAL38 are using an extra monocular to optimize the view when used as handheld spotter

    • @TheNightVisionShow
      @TheNightVisionShow  8 месяцев назад

      The Zeiss DTC uses the same fitment as MATE MAH50 so it can be used the same. We believe Zeiss are bringing one to market, but it works superbly well with the Mate adaptor monocular.

    • @user-jw1oe7pk6g
      @user-jw1oe7pk6g 8 месяцев назад

      What do you mean by ‘bringing one to the market’? Is the viewing experience of the Zeiss good whiteout the monocular? Can you recognize/identity deers at 200m?

    • @TheNightVisionShow
      @TheNightVisionShow  8 месяцев назад +1

      @@user-jw1oe7pk6g What we mean is we hope zeiss are launching a monocular clip on for the DTC like the Infiray Mate to allow it to be used hand held. If not you can simply buy the Infiray one.

      @@storm_shadows Yes the 56mm adaptor is for 50mm objectives, the size is the external size of the tube body, so the 56mm is perfect for you, and its included free at Scott Country

    Surprised that the refresh rate is as low as 50Hz and not 120 or higher on a device like this in 2022
