When you said you should be sanding the shoes outside because there might be a lot of dust, the first thing I thought of is why are you doing this wearing a suit?
Hello Kirby, I've heard it said that a spinning buffing wheel to generate the heat/friction is needed. This together with the solid wax bars they use in shoe repair shops. Understandably, this goes beyond the items most of use own.
I periodically do this at work with a Sharpie from the supply closet. Less than a minute, and don't need to purchase products. I guess I'm a philistine, LOL.
washing it with water. no joke, but dry them of with a towel. if that doest't work, you can wash it sadle soap. if that doesn't work alcohol and than renovator or cream polish
i don't think you have the samr shoes. maby samr looking one. turkey is one of the worst places to buy english made shoes. his shoes are the george cleverley baron de rede. cost around the 700 euro.
The blue "painter's tape" works well in protecting the upper when applying the dye.

Nice shoes
That is a beautiful tie!
I wonder if using a Q-Tip on the edges might be safer than the round applicator that comes with the dye?
Most informative and interesting video. Many thanks.
