Keep up the with the very educational content. There is no one on RUclips providing such detail and guidance on how to properly take care of a fine pair of shoes.
Absolute lifesaver. I absolutely destroyed my nice leather boots in the snow. As they are my first leather boots, I was very concerned. Thank you for this knowledge!!!!
Kirby, thank you for helping me walk the right path, as watching this video series helped me kick my edge dressing addiction. I’m clean and no longer chasing the resin dragon.
Additional tips: While sanding, wear work gloves so that you can really get into it without fatiguing your hands. After sanding with 180 grit, use 220 grit to get a smoother result. If the edges are brown, you can skip the leather dye for a more patina'ed result. Use the Saphir Creme Surfine shoe cream on edges to save a couple of bucks. It will do the trick. And, Saphir Pate de Luxe is a perfectly good wax to use for a final shine on edges, again to save a little money. The money you save can go towards a nice tie from the Kirby store.
I really like these short 15-20 minute video series. I think that they’re informative and demonstrates good tips. The only thing is I grimace every time I see you working with your jacket on. Take the jacket off, put on an apron and roll your shirt sleeves up. Protect your clothing, after all it is an investment.
Dear Kirby- Great video! You may not have a belt sander, but I use my sanding bit on my dremel for this. It works great. Also- manicure rotary tools work nice too
Kirby, have you ever talked about hair (on the head)? I have recently been wondering whether a matte style (like a clay or powder) is appropriate over a shiny (gel) style on formal occasions. I haven't paid much attention to my hair, ever which is funny considering that it frames the complete top part of your head so in theory it should be just as important as your shirt/jacket collar.
Hi Kirby ... What would you suggest for a composite heel that is not leather to bring back that luster / shine . . Are there any polishes or waxes that will adhere to a composite heel ? I just had a new heel pads put on my cowboy boots and it looks like there are some dull spots on the sides of the heel when they were sanded smooth so in the right light it looks scuffed / dull . These are not high end boots but still would like to brink back that original glossy look and make it look uniform again . Thanks in advance ... Ken
Vass is on sale at the moment, some of them are at 50 percent off! I'm thinking of buying a pair. Try out Hungarian made shoes. All of my shoes have been Italian and Swiss made.
In another video you said you used 1500 grits sandpaper and then you said you wish if it was 800 grits, now you say 180 grits and i really wish to know which one to use..
Watching you do this with a jacket, tie and nice shirt on is a little painful.... you should consider rolling up your sleeves and wearing a cobbler's smock when doing these shoe maintenance videos... if only to keep me from cringing... however, the education you provide is much appreciated.
I am always nervous when using a buffing brush. I once once scratched the leather on the back of my shoes while using a buffing brush after applying polish. I guess I was using too much pressure.
I hope your business is doing well. I've a feeling that you're pushing a little too hard from the videos, and they are reduced to informercial. I prefer the 2018 to early 2019 period where less of promotion and more of the experience of being gentlemen.

Appreciate the time sections in the video

It‘s a nice video, liked it
Very good. But why aren't you wearing an apron?
He’s ballsy especially wearing that nice tie

You have a Rolex shoe? Haha, Swiss shoemaking is nonexistent.
B Q the Bally is from Switzerland. 😁
Cris Yorke No, France!
I thought France...
@@TopStrikerMaverick It's Swiss brand, and Swiss made (not all though).
I have two tone heal colors. Brown with a black stripe which is actually apart of the front sole portion. Any advice? Should I get a paint brush ?
Is the SPI 4?
My light brown dress shoes have water stains on them, anyone know how to take them off?

Decent video. The background music however was a little too loud and distracting.

First!!! Hah, that never gets old.
._. I though you were better than this
“I always get nervous using it on my desk” I’d be more nervous using it while wearing that expensive suit.
Great video. But stop the music or cut it way down.

Agreed. Perhaps they are running out of ideas. The content isn't really "new".
i woudn't this with my casual clothin. this guy is doing it with a 3k suit
It's not a real shoe shine unless the edges are waxed and polished as well.
