Freezers should always be at the bottom of a fridge. More convenient as one opens the fridge door a lot more than the freezer door. You don't have to bend down to get into the fridge.

I know this is an older post but if you still have your eye on it, wonder if you can tell me a bit about the clearance and suspension.. It is one concern as it looks very low and heavy and we predominately boondock/ dry camp like you it seems and plan a lot of BLM and forest land in the mountains and dessert of US and Canada as well as town/city travel. Wondering how challenging it is off the blacktop. Thank you!!
