  • Ep028. This time, Take-san will be making a sukiyaki bowl. An onsen tamago egg* (see below) will also be made, so please watch this video.
    [RECIPE]
    1. First, prepare the onsen tamago egg. Cook at 65°C for 30 minutes using a low-temperature cooker. During this time, do the cooking.
    2. Cut the baked tofu. The Japanese knife will not cut your hand unless you pull it. Push the knife slowly to cut the tofu. Since it is large, cut it into half-thin slices.
    3. Prepare the washed string, Konnyaku. 
    4. Cut the green onion.
    5. Make the sukiyaki sauce.
    1 tablespoon sugar
    2 tablespoons mirin (sweet rice wine)
    2 tablespoons sake
    1 tablespoon concentrated soup stock
    2 tablespoons soy sauce
    Add water to make a total of 200 ml.
    6. Fry the meat first.
    7. Then fry the onions.
    8. Then, add the tofu and Konnyaku.
    9. Cut pickles for a side dish.
    10. Place rice in a bowl and top with sukiyaki ingredients.
    11. Finally, add an onsen tamago (soft-boiled egg).

    *What is Onsen tamago egg?
    Onsen tamago that has been boiled or steamed with hot spring water or steam. Onsen tamago* is a chicken egg in which the yolk is semi-cooked, and the white is semi-coagulated. It is also called ondo tamago, sometimes shortened to ontama.
