I support Pastor Mildred because I wasn't attracted to my husband when I first saw him, but he has other attributes that swept me off my feet and today to God's glory we are 27 years together and our marriage is sweeter by the day.

This is so true, I married someone who is not really phisically attractive to me. I did because he's so respectful, understanding, caring, tolerant & cool headed ( honestly, I'm short tempered and he can manage my temperament) . I'm so free with him like he's my biological brother. I had to cut off my female circle / friends back then because they kept mocking me that I must be blind to be dating him ( sincerely, he wasn't really that handsome / cute looking like I wanted back then but we just connect so well). We are now married for 12 years ( with 2 kids) and I'm very happy till date I chose him because I have rest of mind ooo and best Father to our children. Thank God, I didn't let my friends talk me out of the relationship 14 years ago. Funny enough, I no longer see him anymore as being unattractive physically as time progresses, I just love him so much despite our once in a while couple little little querrel which I think it's normal.

Sometimes all these qualities you mentioned are what makes a man to marry late because of the way girls reason and perceive things
The misunderstanding often stems from women misconceiving what the concept of Physical or Natural attraction really is, in the context of a female,in contrast to a male and being naturally attracted to the male.
Attraction is asymmetrical in male and female.
What a man desires in woman in terms of physical attraction is not same with a woman in man.
It is due to the reason that what she needs and desires is the nature and structure of his mind,in terms of his ability to provide her security,freedom and leadership.
Can't be measured, and she do not have the tools to see and talk about it,ie articulate it. So on a norm,we do default to using what we can see and talk about, which is where the physical or material comes into play.
Naturally a female that prioritizes beauty/looks,ie physical beauty in
a mate for marriage,is operating out of her feminine nature and energy,thus she is out of her natural order.
And overtime will likely get stuck or loose the interest in it, and also will not likely have a deep rooted and seated sense of purpose,self and reason for the relationship.
The marriage will overtime change from a state of excitement and happiness out of the excitement of her sexual desire and interest (fun and pleasure), that drives her to prioritize and choose a man based on physical attraction of Beauty/Looks.
Getting along is more important than getting aroused. Bars!!!

Physical attraction is important in marriage but not the most important thing to put in with…marry someone that trigger your hormones, marry someone that tickles your fancy, someone you like to some extents bcos you can’t grow what is absent

There is a man pursuing me who is shorter, but very handsome nonetheless. Despite his height, he makes me feel safe emotionally, spiritually, and physically. I will consider being in a relationship with him if he makes his intensions clear.

I so much love this couple❤, Thank you so much. I've been married for 12yrs and I don't bother about the physical look rather the inward. And I must say God blessed me with a good man that that i wasn't really attracted to at the beginning I thought he was fat and I was scared he will grow bigger later in life. But to the glory of God my son looks so much like him and I always get alot of compliment whenever I go out with him. To crown it all God had also bless us with so much wealth. I thank God I look beyond the physical when we first met

As a fat person,not everyone likes me and that's ok. From your teachings,i know why i love tall men,my dad and uncles were tall,mu brothers are taller too,so i guess that's where that came from. It actually doesn't matter if the inner qualities match. I'm big on friendship too and being able to have meaningful discussions.

I agree with pastor mildred especially in the first 1/3 of the video. While you shouldn’t choose based on physical looks mainly, it’s necessarily to be attracted to your partner. I find that sex can seem like a gift or chore if you’re not at all attracted to your partner. At least have a certain level of attraction to work with. If it’s at zero and you’ve searched your mind and prayed about it and it doesn’t change, please free that person to go find who will like them as they are. God cannot give us what we can’t handle biko.
I’m emphasizing on making sure that you’re not led by what has been programmed into you. Sometimes there are just people that we don’t feel that physical pull towards at all. I don’t think we’re meant to be attracted to every kind of look there is. Attraction is necessary, it’s the first thing you have when you see someone but it’s not what should be a leading factor when making a choice of a partner BUT at least have some level of attraction to start with. Shalom.

Rigid on the internals...flexible on the externals, that stuck to me. I remember stories from my mum's time, many times, the parents were matchmaking their sons and daughters. Family was key, character was important, and that was their 'spec'. However, I've seen Christian couples struggling with physical attraction after marriage (scary!), so I think i agree with Pst Kingsley that we should reduce our world standards, but with God's spec. But Sir! Some are also naturally attracted to short, ugly, fat or pot belly 😂, so I also think people shouldn't be 'pressured' to settle due to age. God help us all
