I didn't even start watching it until 2019 - I worked as a meter reader & I saw a guy working on the front suspension of an old Landcruiser & he had a laptop open & I asked why! He said he was watching a how to tutorial - I had to sit down! Got home & found hundreds of videos on car repairs! Mind blown! I've never claimed to be the sharpest tool in the shed ( I'm not even in the shed - I'm that rusty screwdriver with the broken handle discarded in the weeds behind the shed..) but I was pretty shocked to be that far out of the loop! Kudos to you for grasping that nettle so early in the piece, you're an inspiration to so many of us old dogs! :)
Hey Mr. McCoy it's kinda funny I'm actually a technological dinosaur in most areas but years ago I belonged to a forum that I actually pay $10 a month it was that good and I am a tightwad so you know it must have been something but there was a guy named bill Myers that had a forum about making money online and he recommended everybody on the forum get on to RUclips when it came out even though it didn't pay a penny I started off with a digital pocket camera I got from the hardware store for $29.00 I used to mess with camcorders that use tapes all the way back in the 80s but RUclips was my first digital experience with video and it has been a blast ever since. I think everybody has something to share some knowledge they can help other people out with to me that's the best thing about RUclips we can make videos about how to fix a car and somebody can be with their laptop not having to pay a mechanic there are a lot of things that aren't as good as it used to be but I love how people are willing to share knowledge now because when I was growing up nobody would tell you anything you had to learn it the hard way I'm glad you are enjoying my silly old videos if you make any you would like to share don't hesitate to leave the links

Hey Josh well thanks so much for watching the video and leaving a nice comment I have been thinking about doing some movie reviews but I don't think they will get many views the review I did for Joel's movie got a lot of views because it was fresh and newly released so people were interested in the movie. I have done a few videos about movies before if you do a search on the channel you can just plug in the word movie and I think they will show up but it might be fun to do another review of a movie that I liked a lot that nobody knows about or not many people do. Let's do this pick one of these old movies number one Ryan's Daughter #2 the man in the white suit #3 Brazil and I can't promise you when but I will do a movie review of it for you. Thanks again

It was all funny though and you've probably given me a wrinkle somewhere that will show the next time I get tired. I've been on to your shock humor for a long time now and picked up on this one at stating some viewer losses statement. After I checked that your subscriber base is still strong, I knew it was going to be one of *those* videos. Then with the other ideas ... time lapse grass growing, there you have it. Hey thanks a lot for watching and commenting I always appreciate you stopping by I'm glad you're feeling better now and out of the hospital that must have been a trip. I don't think these comedy videos help my channel at all but every once in a while I get an idea in my head and I have to make it into a video so it will go away. I do have a small increase in subscribers but I was telling the truth about my income it's down about 19% for the year. On the other hand I'm still amazed I get any money from these videos at all and when I started there wasn't any money involved anyway. That's one big advantage I have over a lot of people on RUclips I still like doing these for fun thanks again stay away from those doctors
@@RobbsHomemadeLife Doing well, thanks. I wonder if your videos are watched more in the fall and winter than at this time of year. It took me a few days to get to this one since we are having our yearly heat wave where the temperature goes up to 75F. No air conditioning needed here as my house stays comfortable all the time. It is 70 now and I even have a slight cooling breeze from the ocean so don't know why I am complaining about the heat. I remember now... any excuse to not have to weedwhack right now will do. In the fall and winter it is more rain and overcast so don't want to be outside much then. Seriously though, this is the only time I get to do some real yard work and painting/maintenance around here so my YT watching suffers. Also delaying me to viewing this one was that my cherry tree had to be picked before the crows got to them. In a few weeks, the apples will be ready to be picked. Tomorrow it will be making cherry pie fillings for the freezer. That is good also for Black Forest Cake. I crave a little sugar in my life every once in a while.
The views and revenue for the channel seem to be the highest between may and September. It's funny that you mentioned cherry pies I have been experimenting with my tofu chickpea pies by adding a can of cherry pie filling with the Graham cracker crust and it was pretty decent I'm going to make another one tomorrow I make the filling in the microwave and put it in a store bought crust that doesn't need to be baked so I don't have to use the oven there are two eggs added so it's sort of like a custard there is no taste of the beans or tofu I would do a video of it but I can't get rid of these tiny little ants in the kitchen and every time I make a video in the kitchen a little tiny sugar Ant crawls across the kitchen counter which is ironic since I have 1/2 a dozen videos on how to get rid of ants and bugs

I rode my bike to a dr appointment yesterday listening to tunes on my mp3 player earphones and missed my turn I was feeling so relaxed, on the way home it played Nat King Cole at 9mph all the way home, it was a good day. listening to tunes outdoors walking and biking in nature is one of my favorite things to do that I never hear anybody talk about.
@@RobbsHomemadeLife That reminds me of the day that I friction taped my first portable battery powered transistor radio to the handlebars of my coaster bike from Sears. It must have been 1963 or 64 and the music was great. I was in heaven cruising to the Tasty Freeze for a fried hotdog and a fountain coke. My best friend married the waitress and we’re all still friends.
My red folding bicycle that looks like a girl's bicycle has handlebars and seat placement similar to the old bicycles they are so comfortable to ride because you sit up straight. It doesn't go very fast but you can sit up straight and see stuff and it's safer cause you have to keep your head on the swivel when you are around traffic I never went to tasty freeze but in 4th grade I would walk home every day pass an ice cream stand and they had banana splits for like $0.69 and I gave my mom a hard time for three weeks about banana splits and she gave me money for one and I remember going to the store on the way home and told the guy wanted a banana split and he asked me if I had the money and I showed it to him and I ate the banana split I felt like a grown up 1963 or 64 was a good time to be alive at least in my life I look at all those old photographs online at the shorpy website and I also think 1905 would have been a cool year it was right before the automobiles came but we still had big cities the photographs from that time were amazing
@@RobbsHomemadeLife I remember feeling so grown up when I went to a small corner store and ordered a milkshake for $0.25! That was probably 1961. Fond memories of not only food that tasted like 'real' food and all for pennies at a time where a coffee can probably cost $5.00+ now.
