Hi Rodrigo, I hope you will continue to post videos. I recently bought a used D5500, found your channel and watched most of your videos. They are very inspirational! I like that you focus on the photography, composition, what you see in your mind as a good picture, rather that on the equipment. So many people are caught up in buying the latest and greatest equipment, rather than the art of photography. You've inspired me to get out and take a lot of pictures lately. I see that you preview your exposure in Live View. Would you mind discussing how you have your camera set up to do this? It looks like you may have movie mode in manual, touch focus on live view and then use the shutter button to take the picture? Once again, I enjoy your videos and keep up the good work! Jim
Thank you so much for the love and support I really appreciate that, that's exactly why I started this Channel to show everyone my process of making photos and more importantly that you don't need crazy expensive gear to make them
It kills me that I can't post as often as I want, I work 2 jobs so it leaves me with very little time to make videos and edit them but I'm gonna try to get back on as soon as possible
Love the videos Is this camera still worth it in 2023? Found a deal on fb marketplace and want it for family photos and travel photos but just wanted to make sure this is still a recommended camera?
The photographs are amazing, I would definitely like to see more, just a suggestion, could you upload the videos in 4K to better appreciate the photos??
Hey Rodrigo, really like the way you compose the picture in your head first before shooting. When you post these pictures in your videos, you show two pictures, one directly out of the camera, is the second version after you’ve retouched it in Lightroom?
Can I ask you something, I don't know anything about photography, when you show your photo result after you took one, there 2 picture. My question is, is the second photo (the better one) is the edited one in PC program?
Hello Rodrigo, thanks for your review on D5500, I am considering buying a used one and a couple of lenses. How do you feel or handle the lack of in built stabilization with this model? Is it really something that would make difference in street photography compared to more advanced cameras? Thanks!!!
I use this camera in all my videos, check them out if you haven’t already and I’ll definitely be doing more with the Nikon D5500 it’s such an underrated camera
For me personally it's the Nikon DX 10-20mm, then the Nikon DX 35mm 1.8 these 2 lenses were made specifically for Nikon Crop Sensor Cameras like the D5500
I can only recommend Nikon because that's all I've ever used, I just love the RAW files I get from my Nikon D5500 there's so much to work with in Lightroom
If you can find the Nikon D5600 for a reasonable price I say get it, the only real upgrade is that it has built in a Time-lapse mode other than that it's the exact same camera as the Nikon D5500
Yes I enjoy them lots. I use the Sigma 17-70mm lens on them lots. It's a versatile lens. I intend to purchase the Tamron 35-150m F.2.8-F4 mm lens for both of them.
@@Boogie.702 yes i got that but considering the other brands 8year old DSLR's like Canon's it's pretty fast, i really want to get a used Nikon 5600 but this holds me back;
@@xanosgaming3941 I own a Canon Rebel SL2 and it's not any better lol, my best advice to you is buy the cheapest camera that meets your needs and invest your money in lenses because that's what's gonna give you quality and different looks, how long it takes the camera to show a photo is honestly not that important IMO 😉
Rodrigo I use the Nikon D5500 for street photography and portraits and I use the following lenses with it Youngnou 35mm Youngnou 50mm Tamron 18-200mm Nikon 18-55 Kit lens Hoping to purchase the Youngnou 85mm and Youngnou 100mm Later in the year

Hey Rodrigo, really like the way you compose the picture in your head first before shooting. When you post these pictures in your videos, you show two pictures, one directly out of the camera, is the second version after you’ve retouched it in Lightroom?
Yes all my photos are edited in Adobe Lightroom on my IPad

How you do it? Photos are amazing? I also have that same canera
Always shoot in Raw format never JPEG that way you have the biggest file to work with when you edit them
@@Boogie.702 how to edit the photos and which software? I really want my photos to be the same as yours. Please teach me. Thanks
@@nhuj08 I use Adobe Lightroom to edit my photos, here’s a link to my Lightroom Presets sellfy.com/boogie-presets

Hi Rodrigo, seems like the lightroom preset link in your description is broken, i cant access it
Can I ask you something, I don't know anything about photography, when you show your photo result after you took one, there 2 picture. My question is, is the second photo (the better one) is the edited one in PC program?
Yes that's correct the 1st photo I show is the RAW File unedited, and then I take the photo into Adobe Lightroom and do my editing there

IBS was something holding me back from the purchase tbh but you are truly inspiring ! Keep it up ^^

Hi sir. Can you recommend whats the best lens for my d5500 Nikon
For me personally it's the Nikon DX 10-20mm, then the Nikon DX 35mm 1.8 these 2 lenses were made specifically for Nikon Crop Sensor Cameras like the D5500
Thank you sir what lense do you use on this video sir.
@@speakforthetruth Nikon 10-20mm
In my country i can buy sony a6000 or this with my budget. Which one do you suggest? Or any other idea like olympus or fuji?
I can only recommend Nikon because that's all I've ever used, I just love the RAW files I get from my Nikon D5500 there's so much to work with in Lightroom
Also the Nikon D5600 is exactly the same camera as my D5500 just with Time-lapse mode added
Would a 18-55 lens kit be good for starting
If that's all you have absolutely
Then if you can pick up the 10-20mm or the 35mm dx

Hi just a question, Why does the Nikon takes time showing the captured photo?
Because the Nikon D5500 is an 8 year old entry level camera it's slow in live view, my Nikon Z6ii is way faster but that's new mirrorless technology

Do you find Nikon 5500 better than Canon 4000
I can't say it's better than it because I don't own it, but I do own a Canon Rebel SL2 and my Nikon D5500 is better
