@@avnishparker well kind of, i had an 8 year old laptop, using it for 5 years, and ive been pushing its limits, so I guess its natural at that amount of time for it to die
had an issue when i was using an ai file the blobbylize effect was making my logo disappear to fix this i converted the logo into a shape by right clicking on the logo, go to create then create shapes from vector layer. then delete the ai file now it works.

In my case, was the color of the png image, so I chaged the color and then the effect worked
