It's stunning that this talk that is mind-blowing has only ONE comment! haha. I discovered this video via the published paper first. I couldn't access the published paper so I found the video talk. thanks

Gerard, luister nou even. Why do we keep talking about 'quantum gravity'? We define 'gravity' as the contraction of spacetime (caused by the presence or more correctly, the SPEED of mass). If so then obviously a grid that is NOT governed by spacetime, cannot have gravity since there is no spacetime grid to contract. So then why do you think that the subatomic quantum realm (e.g. the area between an atom's nucleus and outer electron orbit) is governed by spacetime to begin with? Have we EVER seen a motion in this area consistent with spacetime as the the grid? If not, then accept that in the quantum world the grid is NOT defined by spacetime, hence there can be no contraction of spacetime, hence no gravity. Simple.

I think I spotted yet another those online Dunning-Krugers who lurk like an infectious virus within anything to do with physics, cosmology or astronomy. Ignored by those with and swooned over by those without - actual education and hard won knowledge of course.
