Excellent playing. The YC88 sounds great, definitely the best Yamaha samples to date, but they still have that boxed in digital sound since the CP300. The Nords, especially beginning with the Bright Grand (Yamaha S4) XL samples around 2013/2014 time frame have so much more character and the resonance makes the Nord sound alive. What’s your thought on the Nord Piano 5 action vs the YC88?
For me ,yamaha yc sounds good for any performance, best action in this price segment and gives enogh knobs for customization ,easy to use .My 2 cents is that its the best stage piano for the money .
Nord is great but sometimes its high dynamic is too much. YC88 sounds nice, brighter with heavier middle tones (better for Live performance). Really surprised to see how well Yamaha answered to Nord !
Wow, this is an eye opener - while the Nord white grand is top notch, the sax and "jazz guitar" are terrible, like from a toy keyboard for an instrument that costs$ 4,000! You can also hear in the Nord where they looped the samples (a rapid clicking sound). Then there's the lack of a mod wheel on the Nord, because it was targeted for pianists, not synth players. I would also like to say I enjoyed your playing - very modern and unique, with chords and arrangements I've never heard before (I'm assuming you were improvising), so thanks for that as well, and thanks for posting this enlightening video!
Nord paved the way for the 'all in' stage keyboard, for players (the Electro series). But, they're sounding a bit tired now, whereas other companies are sounding much fresher, and offer more features. I speak from experience, after owning each of the Electro series (apart from the 4).

Very close, but I liked the yamaha slightly more.

I've had them both ending up keeping the YC. NORD paved the way but has become lax in diversity, functionality, ease in access & clarity.

Yamaha piano sounds synthetic and inferior to Nord in this comparison.
