I have been on a small Madeira finished whisky journey for the last couple of weeks. It works quite well as a finish, especially for more robust whisky, as the Madeira influence can be a bit cloying otherwise. I haven't tried the Firkin yet, but actually found myself eyeing a port finished Firkin online just the other day, so maybe soon...🙂
Was it the Aultmore? In fairness, it doesn't matter, fully recommend getting it
There a Aultmore and Teaninich Firkin Port finished and they are both tasty.
Top review Vin and the dramslam is a fantastic listern. Yet to connect with Madeira finish myself, always seemed too dry. Cheers.
