Thanks for an easy quick tutorial. The keyboard works great but I am disappointed because the keyboard works only if attached to the ipad. I frequently have my ipad in a stand next to my chair and use a keyboard on my lap. I assumed this would be Bluetooth ... my bad for assuming. This will be great when traveling - nice and compact Bluetooth keyboards are inexpensive - will get one of those for home use.
@@texanboiii562 Only iPad Pros get official Apple cases that cover front & back. Regular (non Pro) iPads have Apple front covers only. There are probably 3rd party cases for the regular iPads that cover front & back, just not from Apple.
@@texanboiii562 Not aware of any cases that can cover the smart keyboard. The smart keyboard is pretty thick, and acts as a case by itself pretty much. Best option is prob a low profile neoprene slip case w/zipper, to use when traveling.
@@edrozenberg no, not trying to cover the keyboard just the back but I want to be able to connect the keyboard without the back cover interfering where the keyboard connects to the iPad.
They could’ve made it protect the back... but they didn’t. And it’s hella expensive and doesn’t have a trackpad. The Logitech slim combo folio is a much better buy.
I agree with that fro the most part, this apple keyboard seems to be just a reall good keyboard and not much more, however I the Logitech keyboard itself has fairly spotty keys, they are always falling off on me when I use it folded up.
Great video I recently bought the IPad Air 4 then stumbled onto this. I bought mine for video editing as I just started my RUclips channel . It should be good for simple editing

It’s just too expensive in my opinion. Especially as there seem to be quite a few reports of them breaking after a few months use. There really needs to be a cheaper third party alternative. There is barely anything that uses the smart connector.

TDS Ghost 6th gen is the 9.5. It’s only on the new 7th gen and new iPad Air that can have the Smart Keyboard because they upgraded them with that smart connector on the side

Why does the back need protection? It’s metal. I prefer no back. Doesn’t add unnecessary bulk.
