This is honestly such a well-designed and ergonomic keyboard! Was considering buying the Apple one at first bc I wasn't satisfied with a bluetooth keyboard and had a hard time finding one that was compatible with the smart connector. I tried my friend's and I wasn't really satisfied with the typing experience and couldn't justify the price (also I had to buy a new case that had a slot for the smart connector bc the Apple keyboard doesn't come with a built-in case). I saw your video and watched a couple more reviews, and decided to get this one instead. I've been really happy with it! It provides a great typing experience, but I also like how sturdy and protective it is, and I really appreciate the different angles you can make with the kickstand. The spill-proof feature and a slot for the Apple Pencil or Logitech Crayon are great bonuses. Highly recommend this for those like me who don't like bringing their laptops to class or who use their iPads as a laptop substitute and need a high-quality keyboard! Not only that, you get a real solid and durable case too! Love your videos, Noah!
Kia Ora! i have the logitech rugged folio for my ipad 7th generation! i got it for christmas and i couldn’t be more impressed. i’ve had it for almost a year and its supper good!!
Got a hand me down iPad 8 from a friend and started looking for cases on FB Marketplace. I see a logitech rugged folio for only $50, but I wanted to see if she would take $35. She said yes and I got an amazing case for cheap and I love it so much. The quality is remarkable and typing on it feels good. I totally would have bought it for the full price of $140 if I could've afforded it!
I just got my iPad 10.2! I love it so far. It serves my basic needs as a college student emails, paper, research, etc. However, I was looking for a keyboard case, and I landed on this video. I purchase the Logitech Rugged Folio today after watching the video. Thank you, Noah, for the recommendation! It definitely worth the extra $$ its $10 less than apples. Typing on the Logitech keyboard feels like typing on my old MacBook Air laptop. Thanks again, Noah, for the review!!
Never seen your channel before, & not really interested in this particular case, but I DO however think you did a fantastic job reviewing it/creating this video! Very impressive & well thought out - keep it up my friend! 🙋🏽♂️
I have been using a combo ipad gen 8th and rugged folio for a year now. It is super cost-effective. My ipad has been much more productive with this accessory. However, it still cannot replace my laptop. Notetaking and simple data processing are much more convenient with this combo
@@jameson7884 i dont notice a significant drop in battery life cause when I fold the keyboard to the screen the keyboard doesn't work any more. I am not quite sure if the ios 15.3 drain the battery or not.
The only thing missing is a key function sheet, as I’m having trouble finding my way around the key pad for functions other than typing. I love the keyboard and case, but a few instructions would have been helpful.
This maybe a little late but those who are experiencing spacebar or typing issues, go to settings, general > keyboard> hardware keyboard> change Automatic US to ABC-Extended and restart the system. May fix the issue.
Awesome vid Noah, just wanted to see what you think about this. I’m a student and I mostly prioritize being able to make nice PowerPoints, light video editing, and typing up essays and emails. Would you recommend the iPad Pro 12.9inch, since it is late December and a new one might be announced soon. I plan on buying one but I just wanted to see what you think. Awesome content, keep up the good work 👍🏻
Zyad Hamamou based on other reviews, ipad pro are beneficial for major video and pics editing, drawing, art stuff... but if you are just using it for power point and typing stuff, a regular ipad should be good
Weight is the only concern I have with this product. Overall it looks better than logitech folio for iPad pro because that needs to be charged separately, sketch mode on that just don’t exist viewing mode and typing mode is same on that. It also seems to provide more security to iPad than that which comes for iPad Pro.
Hows the durability of flexCables of smart connectors. Im sure i wont last long specially for the student who do more work often open and close the cover. Idk. 😅
Noah, I am new to tablets and Ipads. I want a waterproof case and a keyboard system. What do you recommend? I plan to use this ipad in my boat where it could get wet.
I just changed my iPad for the 9th generation. And I bought this case . I want to type in French (I did switch to French keyboard). Do you know if I can find the instructions for the letters with accents ? For example : é, à, ç. Hope you can help me.
I bought this case for my iPad 9 that will be delivered soon, would I still need to get a screen protector? I’ll be using the iPad mostly for note taking and some drawing.
I think the video is really nicely done. Yeah it’s great that it has four view modes, however I find the keyboard to be very uncomfortable to type because it is so flat. Also personally I just don’t like the feel of the keyboard, the way it feels when typing. Overall it has great features but the most important part for me is the keyboard function and for me that is it’s greatest downfall. Not the device for me. For those who love the feel of a flat keyboard or enjoy the other features it has to offer it is a great product.
just got my ipad today. now i am wondering whether to get this case or a separate logitech keyboard and ipad stand. I think a case is good for travel but for some serious typing an external keyboard maybe better, which means i still need a protective case with pen holder. So much to consider!
@@siqueiradri I decided to go for a case with a detachable keyboard. Yeah is lot better than smart keyboard apple.
If you didnt mind me asking- does it make the iPad heavier when the case is put on? thank you.
@@alexy.n.a217 Yeah it makes it little heavier coz it's rugged one.
I agree. I like this product
