Chinamyi herself named Vairamuthu as a sexual harasser and detailed how she had allegedly been asked by the organiser of a programme in Switzerland to "cooperate" with Vairamuthu. She was reportedly asked to visit him in a hotel in Lucerne. When she refused and demanded that they (Chinmayi and her mother) return to India, she was supposedly told that her career was over.
While actors Samantha and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar expressed their support for the #MeToo movement, there was resounding silence from the rest of the Tamil film industry.

Most of the questions were ridiculous! When a woman comes out and talks about a traumatic experience that has happened to her, the society can and should support her. It is very easy for Vairamuthu or any other celebrity to say they are innocent, but it is super difficult for a Chinmayee or a Parvathy Menon to come out and talk about powerful personalities indulging in such despicable acts. None of these woman need to indulge in mudslinging given where they are in their career and life. It is upto the celebrities that are accused to come clean and apologise and face the consequences. Santh, Sadhu, Poet or Politician if you look at a woman wrongly, you'd have to face justice. All you journalists, really need to MAN up and support the woman. That is the meaning of being a MAN, not harassing helpless victimised woman that seek your support!

In that interview this tries vainly to glorify and show the culprit vairamuthu as innocent soul.But Dr.Shalini armed with her unfathomable knowledge and professional elegance tears his mask into sherds.. This is just a politically induced backlash on Vairamuthu because of his comments on Andaal. I think he apologised for that.
Everything in India is politically motivated. At the outset Andal issue was raised by variamuthu to gain popularity among non-hindus (being a christian) and gain political capital. Now the reverse Is happening, draining away all the gains. That is karma.
Interviewer should be a content generator, as he has good viewpoints, But..... definitely he is not the right guy to interview others. @NakkheeranTV management, kindly take this into consideration.

please understand that in our patriarchal and male dominated society it is difficult to come out and tell such a thing. look at what is happening even now in 2018. she has to hear all sorts of comments about her character. however bad a woman's character is, when men in position of power and influence take advantage of that to give her a chance in say movies to sing or act, it is wrong. the "me too" movement is precisely about this. that is how even in western countries where the morals are much looser, still the women are supported when a male violates her without her consent and that too utilizing his position.
